The COSMILE Europe app is a free product scanner for cosmetics. The app helps you to check and understand the ingredients in cosmetic products. Simply scan the ingredient list with your phone's camera to see what ingredients are in your cosmetics and personal care products. This helps you decide whether a cosmetic product is right for you while you're shopping.
The COSMILE Europe app has information on nearly 30,000 cosmetic ingredients. It provides many useful explanations about the functions and properties of the ingredients, without rating them as good or bad. If you have an intolerance to an ingredient, you can quickly and easily check whether it is present in a beauty product.
For contact allergies
The COSMILE Europe app is perfect for anyone who suffers from contact allergies. It has an ingredient filter function that allows you to store anything you are allergic to in the app. If you then scan a cosmetic product that contains one of these ingredients, you will immediately receive a warning. This makes it quick and easy to decide if a product is right for you.
Check cosmetics with a quick scan
• Scan the ingredients list under the 'Ingredients' section on the product packaging and check the ingredients of your cosmetics in seconds.
• Once you've scanned a product, you'll see the name of each ingredient in the cosmetics. If you want to check the ingredients in more detail, you can also see an explanation of what each ingredient does and other useful information.
• You can use the app's filter function to save ingredients or substances that are particularly important to you, or that you want to avoid.
• When you scan a product, the app clearly highlights any saved ingredients. This allows you to check the ingredients of your cosmetics and decide whether the product meets your personal requirements and is suitable for you.
Scientifically proven sources and independent experts
The COSMILE Europe app only uses verified information and data from trusted sources, such as the European Commission's CosIng (Cosmetic Ingredients) database. The data on cosmetic ingredients is always up-to-date and based on the knowledge of independent experts as well as the scientific assessments of various expert committees, including the EU Commission's independent Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) and the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment.
