A random moderately fun game
A random moderately fun game with textbook features to maximize time viewing adds, maximize time in the app as well as creating incentives to regularly check back. Good amount of choices, not too many to avoid choice paralysis and not too few so the player feels there is some degree of freedom of choice. (Barry Schultz’s Choice Paradox) The game also uses the Zeigarnik effect where the user is trying to move towards completeness in finishing the rescue of counties and also to view adds to collect all country ball skins/characters. Of course the game also has the usual pay to win micro transaction systems where real money is converted to a in-game currency to obscure the cost of actions. There was surprisingly little random rewards (see B. F. Skinner’s experiment and theories on variable schedules of reinforcement) All in all a standard free game in 2024.
