I’ve accepted the fact that this app slows down your phone a bit, since that is part of the sacrifice of having an app that is continually monitoring your activities. That being said, I can’t do anything when the VPN connects/disconnects every 3-5 seconds. It’s getting outrageous and makes my phone nearly unusable.

My wife supplied the title. Covenant Eyes has created too many frustrating issues on my phone, and is essentially functioning like a virus. VPN toggling is making my phone constantly vacillate between cellular and WiFi (no I’m not having WiFi or router issues). It’s taxing my battery and it’s too easy for my kids to disable. All of these headaches so my partner can get screen shots of every benign search I make on Safari- that is, when this app doesn’t disable Safari altogether. I understand the difficulties iOS presents for this type of product, but that is not my problem. This app is on notice and my family is ready to be done paying for this nonsense.

When I first downloaded it it was working fine and added a vpn to my device but after about 2 months the vpn started acting up and constantly turning off screwing with my service slowing down all my apps and whenever I’m loading anything. This also messed up connection with WiFi connections. The vpn cannot be turned off and will sometimes not allow anything to load as long as it is off. Overall it’s a good app but has some major drawbacks that are very annoying

CE doesn’t seem to have a fix for the VPN constantly resetting. They recommend that I uninstall and reinstall the app, but then my partners get notified that I uninstalled the app, which causes all kinds of complications. Please fix this.

Good concept but the way the VPN only works on demand makes a lot of apps unusable that are just regular apps. It should have an option where the VPN just stays on the whole time rather than on demand.

Covenant Eyes is a great idea. However, it doesn’t always work. One big loophole is apps. It doesn’t monitor them, so it leaves that door wide open. I just bought an iPhone 16, and the VPN blinks in and out. I’d check the Safari extension, the WiFi, and all of my settings. I have removed all of the other browsers. It’s a shame. Hopefully the developer can work these kinks out.

The app keeps causing my phone to turn the vpn on and off simultaneously for hours, kicking me on and off wifi continuously.

Covenant Eyes is very helpful for keeping people safe on the Internet. I recommend it to everyone. Who has trouble with pornography or any problems on the Internet.

I can’t scroll through any of my music or pictures without the VPN auto-connecting and resetting. It turns off and back on at will and I cannot disable or change it without deleting the CE apps
