Cribbage JD

I’ve never played cribbage before so I’m still trying to figure some things out. I find the game challenging and fun. I just can’t get past Crazy Ninja and want to know what’s next.

I have always loved cribbage and now I can play with friends online! We have our room, meet there while chatting on the phone (or not) for a break in our day. Likes: it scores for us, and shows a little recap of how the hands played out which is nice esp when I didn’t get the same total on my hand or crib. Dislikes: it also shows what would have been a better discard to the crib. But I don’t like that because it’s based on stats or something, I don’t know. But many times the cards I tossed were a higher point value in the end than what they think I should have played. I wish it would explain why I actually should have discarded this other option because it’s not helping me learn this way. Love this game!

I’ll preface that this review with the fact that this review is based on comparing to how cards are shuffled and drawn in real life gameplay. This is the second cribbage app I’ve gotten and I come to the same issue. The actual gameplay and functionality is fine, but the luck of the draw more often than not goes far in your favor or far against you from round to round. I’ll play a round and players with 2 points flop a card that gives them 16 or they’ll start with 6-7-7-8. Which happens, but in this app it happens in back to back to back hands for one player and the “luck” shifts to either me skunking someone or getting skunked. Previous app developer told me how random their cards are, so I guess don’t take my word, play a few rounds in real life and compare them to a few rounds here and see for yourself. A bit frustrating. Will keep searching for an app that compares to a real life shuffle. Update: decided to uninstall. The amount of 14-20 point hands in a single round is getting worse as my level increases somehow. Again, some in my favor, some not.

I’ve made 70 friends from playing online and none of them have ever been online at the same time as I. Odd.

The top level isn't worth playing, always has the right card, it's like I get to play with four cards in my hand and A I gets to play with the rest of the deck.

Moving down south, not many people heard of cribbage. Luckly I discovered this app and really love it, especially playing with friends….keep up the great work!

Game plays to keep close and gamifies - not fair card plays.

The software works to create opportunities or stifle points based on what is happening in the game. Think of a referee who changes how a game is called to create interesting but biased results. Nothing like real cribbage. Garbage.
