Customer App - Zoho Assist

I’m forced to give it 1 star in order to post this review. Do NOT download this app.!! I was SCAMMED out of all of the money in my bank account. Why? How? Well, this app. allows alleged “trusting” technicians access to your device, personal, info, accounts, etc. through the “share screen”. My (ahem) “trusted technician” got into my Venmo, added a a MasterCard, transferred all of the money from my bank onto that card and then deleted the card! I’m now dealing with the police, Feds., etc. to track down these scammers who are using this Customer app. Please hear me, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP.!! These are not trusted technicians!! Anyone can call themselves a technician and be on this app. I am certain the company behind this app. absolutely does not vet the people posing as technicians!! This app. is a conduit for serious fraud and scams. I’m hoping and praying that the ongoing investigation of the scammers and imposters on this app. will save other people from falling victim to this atrocity!! Do NOT FALL FOR THE FRAUDULENT “technicians” by downloading this app. Happy New Year everyone (except the low life, dirt bag scammers). I hope I’ve helped some of you innocent targets out there. Last Saturday I got scammed on this app. Scammers are using app hack people accounts. I filed a police report, the FBI get involved!!!

If they ask you to download this they’re a scam artist. Do not continue .

If someone asks you to install this app don’t. I’ve had $1700 stolen from me in less than a hour when I had my Facebook suspended and looked to their website for corporate support. I am filing an fbi cyber claims report and will do anything in my power to help others with this experience.

Just got scammed on this app

Guy told me someone was on my Amazon account and he needed to help me and stole money out of my accounts

They texted and pretended to be NortonLifeLock. They act like they will. Walk you through the process of filling out paperwork that FTC needs immediately to ensure I don’t get billed. I then realized I’m being scammed. I am typically pretty good at recognizing a scam but for all the hesitation I felt I continued with the call and I’m not sure which one of us hung up first. They wanted me to access my bank account and I’m sure much to their surprise. They found that I had less than a dollar in my account and then they were trying to get my credit card numbers and I knew there’s no way I kept telling him he’s a scammer and I know what he’s up to and I will be reporting him immediately. which I did unfortunately this review probably wouldn’t be red until after the scams happened or somebody was smart enough to get out as soon as they saw the third-party name and then look them up and saw that that was a close one anyway I just say avoid them and if you get a text message or however, you get your messages and you get somebody telling you you’re going to be billed and you have no idea what they’re talking about. Just keep on walking don’t bother with them. It’s just another company. Using a company like this or a competitor of theirs, waiting to take advantage of others.

Used by hackers to see PII on your screen. They intercept troubleshooting calls & have use download app as form of social engineering. Be extremely cautious .
