Customize Search Engine

Huge fan of CSE. I have my iPhone set to DuckDuckGo which has never been that good, so I use Custom Search Engine to use Brave Search instead. It’s perfect for the self-hoster (searXNG), archivist (archive.org), researcher (arxiv.org), etc. A must-have if you subscribe to Kagi and want to use Safari, too. Really well done!

I am free from those stupid Google AI summaries. When I use google I get real results at the top. It’s fantastic. This app works perfectly and if you have any questions the developer responds within the day. Incredible resource. I’m glad something can finally get rid of the Google AI for me.

Was able to edit google to actually use the web search instead of the ai generated content that tells people to eat glue.

Enough said. Best app ever.

Just what I needed. it’s a great app. It would be cool if settings would sync between devices.

How to use: 1. Open CSE. Set TOP OF URL as the website you want. Add suffix if needed. 2. Set SAFARI SETTING to match your safari default search engine. The app will redirect all connections from this website to the one you set. 3. Allow CSE to work and choose always allow access to the websites when there is a security notice.
