I love your columnists ‘Widders’ and Leo Mckinstry also your letters page. I do wish though you would cut out the puerile puns and play on words. Why are editors obsessed with them ? One good one now and then would be far more effective. Nigel Fortnam Lyme Regis, DT7 3HX
Right wing clap trap
I tried the Express for 2 weeks for free, I won’t be paying for this right wing rag that appears to be a mouthpiece for the worst government this country has ever had
Puzzles
Since the beginning of COVID I’ve contributed to the Express and looked forward to the daily puzzles. But no longer! Why make Sudoku ‘so hard’. I don’t do ‘notations’ and as a result I can’t get started on weekdays. Come on, why make it so hard, I enjoyed the puzzles and the newspaper. Now some days I can’t be bothered even opening the paper, so for me my day is spoilt. For me there’s no joy or satisfaction from working on puzzles that can’t be solved unless you spend hours working on the puzzle. Come-on ‘give us a break’! Adam Watson.
