I really appreciate that I can use this on my phone, tablet, or desktop. The desktop is very glitchy & could use an upgrade. I do pay for the premium so having things like the keyboard freak out as I’m typing is really annoying. The themes could use some more….themes. I would love a widget, too! I love the calendar & photo uploads. I appreciate that I can go back to any date & add a photo from past entries from a paper journal & keep all my entries in one place. I would recommend this app, but I do hope it gets a good update/upgrade soon.
There was a Black Friday promotion for $14.99, which I signed up for. However, I was charged $29.99, which I did not sign up for.
I really like Daybook. I have been journaling a lot more with this app. I really wish there were more general templates, more themes that are less cheesy, and why is there no dog journal but there is a cat journal? I’d love a dog journal!
Love the app, but lately it’s been a little “buggy.” It has been shutting down and not saving my progress, which has been annoying.
I’ve email you all to try to cancel the premium and you all are still trying to take money out of my account. I just tried the first week. Please cancel the premium subscription. Other than that I love the app.
I was testing multiple journal apps and this one couldn’t compete with others, but when I tried to delete my account here it just won’t let me, it tries to make me log in to Facebook for some reason, and even when I do it still won’t let me delete my account. Shifty.
I created a free account to test the app but then I found a different app that was better. I went to delete my account on Daybook but when I click the button to do so, it tries to make me sign into facebook for some reason, I finally gave in and let it link to my facebook but it still wouldn't let me delete my account. So I unlinked it again from my facebook...because there should be no need to do so in the first place, now I'm still trying to delete my account that they don't want me to delete.
I’ve been using Day Book for over a year, transferring in my past paper journals (mostly BuJo) and keeping my daily journal with more consistency and positive results than ever. While auto save would be a nice addition, I didn’t even mind that I had to remember to save and rarely lost and entry due to my oversight. I upgraded to the paid version recently to get the advantage of being able to add more photos. I boldly suggested that adding italics, bold, underline, and bulleting would be a nice touch, and, voila, it happened! Oh, my joy at being able to add lists more easily and attractively, giving me something more familiar to work with—expanding possibilities and efficiency. Then CRASH! Suddenly pasting causes intermittent-but-frequent shut-down of the app across all my devices—iPhone, iPad, and Windows-based laptop. I cut and paste a great deal from emails and messengers to avoid rekeying the same information I’ve shared with family and friends. Soooo frustrating. Additionally, I cannot add photos because two buttons appear off the edge of the screen. The one to add photos and the one to strike through. The photo add is important. Really important to me! To say I am heartbroken is an understatement. I am greatly inconvenienced by what has been a wonderful boon to my journaling and productivity. I’m looking so forward to an update that corrects this issue! The thought of trying to transfer all of the information I’ve saved on this app and finding something as simply seamless as this used to be makes me quite nauseous!
This is really a great app—except for one thing. God forbid you get a text message or a phone call and you've already written 5 paragraphs and you answer the call or text—you go back to Daybook and it blanks out everything. I realize you should save it before but when you have to answer a call you don't always have the time. I can't tell you how many days I've lost long heartfelt journaling only to have it deleted by the app. Extremely frustrating. Developer, you must, MUST fix that awful flaw in your app! I will give it 5 stars when you do, but not until then!
