Good control of my 2024 Denon

App is always not working. After recent update it also not working. When app was working it was outdated. You guys really need to invest in good developers to design modern/working app.

Can you fix selecting the input on the main zone it appears every input except Bluetooth.

Only connect like 5% of the time. Denon WAS a good name. You would think they would look at this app and see everyone having problems with the app and fix it. I would suggest going with Sonos/Sony/marantz anything that had a great app based receiver if that’s what your are looking for. Denon is not it. 10/25/24 update… Updated the app, the last version worked 5% of the time … this bee version doesn’t even load. Get your act together Denon, this is why people spend more and get a better brand. DONT get a Denon, sell it on OfferUp and take the loss and save your money for a brand that cares about their product 12/21/24 update… The app doesn’t even load at all. FIX THIS DENON. How is this even possible?

2 new problems…. dec 16, 2024 running latest denon app version with my s970h 1). hdmi tv connection = frequent tv signal handshake interruptions or timeouts. sony tv screen goes black (no video signal, no sound) for 10-15 secs, then picture & sound gets restored. this happens once or twice per hour with my fios box, dvd, bluray, and appletv devices. i tried fixing by upgrading with a brand new 4k hdmi cable between s970h and tv. problem persists. 2). spotify connect = music playing connection starts, then s970h goes into avr Mute mode. click on app’s mute icon, “x” turns off, but it goes right back into Mute mode again….this cycle repeats for several iterations. please fix…. thank you

Always worked with AVR-X2700H - until the most recent update. Now it just spins saying it needs to be on the same network. Funny thing is nothing except the app has changed and, if I walk over and turn it on then other apps can see and play to it just fine. Yet the Denon app can’t. The app has the requested permissions. Did your devs actually test this with older devices before it went out the door? Trying for all that free publicity like Sonos for an abysmal app experience? Or is the lesson that intentional obsolescence gens sales for replacements? Not from me.

I bought this receiver about a year ago, and the app worked great for the last 10 months. In the last two months, it has simply stopped reliably controlling the receiver. I can usually connect, but the speed of browsing between pages in the app is terrible—10 to 20 seconds loading pages, and attempts to change settings usually fail. What a disappointment for a multiple thousand dollar piece of AV equipment.

Very disappointed in Denon. When having the DRA 900 H connected to my ethernet, the wireless app barely works. We were told to update firmware, but firmware will not update. I bought two of these units based on an old Denon that I had and really liked. If I can’t get this fixed in the next week these two units are going back and I want my $1600 back.

Worked great for 3 years with my X3700H. But now I have to power cycle the AVR to get it to respond to the app. The API and the web portal work fine. I’m at my wits end and will likely just make my own app and share the source code on GitHub.
