Scam they took my money

You have to pay $5 to enter a contest. I bet $100 with 63 other people, that we could each loose 10% over 4 weeks. I Won!! But I only won $100? So 63 people each put $100 in the pot. That’s $6300. Only 51 people won, including me. So that leaves $1200 to divide among the winners. Nope. They gave me my $100, and I paid $5 to enter. So for all that, I lost $5. SCAM!!! Use any other weight loss app!!!

I’m disappointed with how I was treated by the judges and customer service. Be careful to pay attention to all the rules because the judges have discretion to deem your surface unacceptable. After four emails of asking for reconsideration, I was finally granted my winnings.

They are shady and continued ti charge me after I cancelled.

They have issues issuing payouts. I have tried several times with so successful resolution.

The app itself works well and so is the idea behind the app - it motivates you to lose wait. But there are a few reasons why this app is a scam/moneymaker for the company. First, you don’t “win” much. DietBet takes a significant cut. I started off winning about $35, then subsequent games I won $8, $5, and $1.5. After you factor out a $5 membership, you’ve walked away with very little or are in the hole. Second, 4% of body wait, which is the typical amount you need to lose in a game, is tough to do and borderline unhealthy over a 4 week span. I get that DietBet needs a cut to pay the referees and operate the app, but they are definitely pulling in good profit for very little output.

The application is easy to use and lets you see your progress. If I was doing the diet only for myself, there would have been times I would have cheated. With this diet you hold yourself accountable to lose the weight you want to. There are others in the group encouraging you to with our goals. Everyone is in this together and helps each other by sharing their stories and giving encouragement.
