My go to daily play, can’t get enough of it. When’s DD3 being released!?
My partner, friends and I have had countless hours happily playing this game. Good level of challenge and the new coins and upgrades cards given randomly with the choice to choose one specific power up per player, is really excellent. The only downside to this otherwise excellent game is that since the latest version 3 update, you cannot play via Bluetooth or over WiFi essentially making “Local Multiplayer” useless. If this could be rectified, then we could continue to enjoy and race :-) P.s. I also agree with the last comment about some sort of tally system between players would be really cool
Loved the original disc drivin and love this too, apart from the auto pilot power up, which makes it too easy. We run a league of 24 players competing in five races at a time with promotion and relegation.. Did this on DD1 too. Anybody who wants to join is welcome. Just search for Marshy as a user name, and start a random race and we can invite you to join. All we ask is that you take your turns regularly and spot the results in our what app group. Great game guys, hopefully some new tracks coming soon!!
Have put hours into this game (and the previous version) and it’s addictive fun. What it’s crying out for, however, is more stats for head-to-head when playing against hour friends. I only play against my partner and other IRL friends, but it begins to feel meaningless if there’s no tally of who’s picked up the most wins or any other stats relating to our games. You just get to the end of a race and start a new one and it feels a bit meaningless after several hundred games... Would be great to see this added alongside more tracks!
£5 IAP to still have ads??!!??!!
Money-grabbing IAP leaves a bad taste in this huge fan of the original Disc Drivin’ fan. They could have sold this for 4.99 with everything included. But no, they went down the IAP route. Joke is on them I guess; I won’t pay a dime for gold points, removing adverts etc. And mulligans on online games. What were they thinking? Oh, you need to watch an advert for that. That’s why. Never mind that it breaks the whole spirit of the game.
Having to watch ads, even if you’ve paid, is a poor design decision. It’s a superior game to the first one but the ads leave a sour taste.
A fun, flexible game to play with friends, and turn-based so you can play without needing to devote a lot of time to it. Power-ups add strategy and the newly added levels have kept me and my friends playing. Hopefully we’ll see even more levels soon!
....... slightly ruined with the inclusion of a 3+ minute advert which (most of the times) shows when you want to take a mulligan. You can skip this by cancelling the advert but 9/10 it tries to play the same 3+ minute advert again. I’d rather pay a premium for the app than have to put up with these adverts.
A fantastic follow up to the original, it can take a little getting used to but when you do, this game can give you hours of fun and importantly, the devs are active and listen to players feedback and implement new things. This is a turn based game, which is perfect for me, playing with friends you can pass and play or local, or online against them or just random people and just play when you can, like replying to a text. It Can bring lots of nice surprises through the day. If you’re in the mood as well, there is the single player daily missions or fastest laps where you can master the tracks and get coins for how fast you do it. I also like how it is mainly a skill based game, but also a little luck is needed with certain shots so it’s never a sure thing. All this added with many customisations, different unlock-able ability’s and powers to master one at a time and it’s free, definitely a game that should be on everyone’s phone. Only thing I would mention is that if you play against a random player and they quit, you don’t get a reward even if they only quit because your about to win, I hope something changes with that.
