This latest build is crashing multiple times a day when switching from the Trips screen to the Home Screen.
I have a huge issue with this app I need it for discovery insure I have to reinstall every few days because it uses 30% of my battery in a day when I reinstall it drops to 2% for about 3 days and starts again it’s not running in the background it’s not great
This app was working great but the last week or so it’s killing my battery. The is no reason the app should active in the background for 22 hours when I am not driving. Battery usage should be at a minimum when vehicle is parked. I have never seen so many low battery notifications. Please restore.
Ah, the Discovery Insurance drive app, an app designed with the noble intention of making roads safer and insurance more... personal. But let me tell you about my recent dance with the app, or rather, my "roundabout roundabout." I was driving at a stately pace, all of 25km/h, in a traffic circle where the only things in danger were perhaps some snails pondering if they could beat me. And yet, my app decided my cornering was a bit too adventurous for its taste. It docked me points, increasing my insurance premium faster than a spaceship hitting hyperspeed. I mean, really? If this is what passes for "excessive cornering" in the app's book, then I'd hate to see what happens when one actually attempts a drift. It turns out, I'm not alone in this interstellar injustice. Here are some fellow Earthlings echoing my sentiments: - **@SlowAndSteady:** "Seriously, Discovery? My grandma corners harder in her wheelchair than I do in my car, and yet here I am, losing points for what feels like a leisurely stroll through a roundabout." - **@RoundaboutRover:** "I've started timing my turns with a metronome to avoid these penalties. If this continues, I'll be changing careers to become a traffic engineer just to design circles that the app won't hate." - **@CurveConnoisseur:** "The app seems to believe every turn should be taken with the grace of a ballerina. At this rate, I'll be applying for ballet school to save on insurance costs." - **@CircleLogic:** "If this app is anything to go by, every roundabout in South Africa could be considered a high-speed chase scenario. My insurance rates are now shooting through the roof for what feels like dodging a snail." Discovery Insurance, while your aim to promote safe driving is commendable, perhaps a recalibration is in order. A traffic circle isn't the Nürburgring, and if we're getting penalized for normal driving behavior, then we might need to start questioning if we're insuring our cars or auditioning for a spot on the next 'Fast & Furious' film. P.S. If anyone from Discovery reads this, remember: the universe is vast, filled with mysteries, and driving in circles isn't one of them. Let's keep insurance about accidents, not about turning too efficiently in a roundabout.
This app keeps losing the link to my Apple Watch. I have to link the Watch and the app daily. And I can’t submit a claim via the app - useless useless
Really heavy on battery consumption. You have to grant the app access to everything on your phone else it’s not viable. Monitoring is very inaccurate, I’ll get deductions for simply driving on a highway or using a circle and it will classify it was cornering. My phone fell off my car cellphone holder and it picked it up as “cellphone usage”. It’s average as most but I guess discovery uses it to ensure no one actually gets to diamond. No exception or challenging outcomes are allowed that I know of
How do I access my POLICY??
The app is killing my battery. I have shown via screenshots that the discovery insure app eats my battery at all hours of the day including when I’m asleep and not driving. The response I got was that the app is only active while driving. Well it isn’t and it’s been like this for ages. But somehow it’s worse this year. My phone can’t last a day unless I switch off location services on the insure app and turn off background refresh. I sometimes remember to turn it on before driving and that’s ok. But I keep forgetting and then I lose points. Please fix the app. I should have to resort to hacks just to use your app. Thanks PS: Last week I went to another province and let my car at home. Yet the app still drained my battery. How do you explain that?
After wasting several hours getting quotes from Discovery Insure, sending through additional information, emailing without a response, not being able to get through on the telephone line, I had to cancel my policy even before it started. At first I wasn’t offered the correct cover (apparently I qualified for purple cover), then the quotes provided omitted all the “all risk” items I needed (so it could be competitive with my current insurance pricing) and then I was blatantly lied to by the sales consultant that promised me I would have all risk insurance when in fact I did not. Then no response to questions regarding the quote I received. I have escalated this and hope to receive an adequate response.
