Distance Comparison Map

At first it worked fine now it does not work at all!

This app measures a straight line instead of going along a route. It should have an option to switch between the two different ways. Only setting is mi vs km

This seems to be the only app of its kind in the app store, which is amazing as it remedies a very common situation (one would think a company like Google would have built in a radius feature a long time ago, but no). However the interface is quirky, only partially adhering to standard protocol. To wit: you want your current location? You have to enter it manually. Fine if you’re at home or work. Not so much if you’re in a new or unfamiliar place. Every other map program has a “compass needle” icon that you tap and it gets your location for you. That’s the standard. The wording of “hometown location” is a bit presumptuous too. I’m not always looking for distance from home. So it does what it claims to do, but not quite the way it should be done under iOS. I hope this little issue is addressed with the next release. If I can’t find something better — and I don’t think it exists — I’ll likely buy the pro version, not because I need it, but to encourage the developer.

I love to travel and beforehand I love to see the actual distances/whether its NYC, L.A. Or London, I really enjoy the app.
