Distant Suns 5

I’ve been using this app for years, but the re-write has not been kind. VR has come in, but it seems like everything else has gone. No labels, no constellation overlays, not even a horizon. Maybe it can all be switched back on somewhere, but why fix what wasn’t broken?

Distant Suns is a feature rich valuable tool for serious amateur astronomers. Have used it since it first became available on PC (perhaps close to 20 years ago?) and am happy to fully recommend it. Distant Suns has a particularly broad range of features which help me efficiently plan observing sessions and these features are often not included in competing packages (eg: What's Up and Calendars for your location)... Thanks for the excellent astronomy program and hope we are both around to enjoy our observing for at least another 20 years 👍🏼✌🏼

This is a nice app, but the events being "US only" is a big lapse in the apps features. Living in Australia it would be nice to have events for the Southern Hemisphere please.

Many hours spent utilising this app. Not cheap but worth the outlay just the same

We all live in a world where global changers are taking place. I believe the more wise watch the subject to gather information on the tidal changes as effected by the phases of the moon on average the high tide has about a 40 minute delay depending on time of the month. The rain come very close to being predictable. We are starting to see a change in climate that needs to be watched and I believe a need exists for harvesting rain fall by paying close attention to astronomy and its co - factors heliostats for use in tracking the sun for free desalinated waters in both ocean waters and straight land desalination issues related to farming .Sundrop farms in South Australia comes up with a good example of this type of sustainable horticultural farming. The program you have produced comes up with a good cross reference to moon sun and other influences related to weather rain fall and other astrological influence related to harvesting the best result of feeding the Earths population.
