DJI Ronin

I’m surprised by the low review score. I’m finding that it works as intended.

The app is pretty good as is when used with the RS2 and RS3 but it’s lacking many features which would make if more useful. One that I would like to add most is anamorphic de-squeeze from the RavenEye. I’d be surprised if the tech isn’t there to enable this feature. Would love to see 1.3,1.5,1.8 and 2x de-squeeze please. Also when storing mo-Co moves it would be amazing to store manual focus settings too. Thanks for a great system otherwise.

Turned up to a shoot with new rs3 pro only to find my phone is not able to download this app and initialise it to turn it on. I had to abandon the gimbal after it locked me out and shoot handheld! Writing this review from a friends phone this eve as I had to borrow it to finally set gimbal up!

The app is horrible. It keeps disconnecting when I’m right next to it. Utter rubbish

Still feeling really let down that DJI said they were going to support the Eos R5 with a simple update to the RoninS and then haven’t bothered. Will never buy another DJI gimbal.

If you want to control your gimbal in a place with poor internet reception, you’re out of luck. I’m never buying another piece of DJi equipment again.

IOS 14 compatible, yet every time I open the app it crashes. Again don’t understand why I can’t use my ronin without it but at lest make the stupid thing work with the minimal stuff it has to do like staying open. 🤦🏿.

Most of the features have disappeared..... are they coming back?

When the app asks you to enter in the password for the Ronin, you can’t actually type in the password. This means you can log into the app but not the Ronin while using the app. Making the app completely pointless for the Xr. Update: Still can’t enter the password.
