free functionality is misleading
Hi guys, you could do significantly better by making the app one-time paid. And say, leave one OPTIONAL in-app purchase in place. When app is paid, there is clear contract: you buy it or you don’t; if it doesn’t work for you - well, that’s a risk, given €5-10 it’s pretty much affordable, but in the best case you actually get what you expected. On the other hand, It’s obvious to expect from free apps, maybe, reduced UX but still consistent with the main functionality. In your case I’d say - the acceptable would be: allowing user using hardcoded DoH/DoT provider and/or disable it on “trial” timer expiration, or anything similar. That would at least allow doing leak test It took me iterating thru every bit of your app to understand - no actual DNS override is possible without enrolling in-app. I mean, DoH/DoT of course. As, why on Earth would one want to test DNS-53 when it can be just set manually. 4/5 is dividend coming from your existing user base, I believe your app works great, but what I described is pretty much disappointing.
