I’m SO glad you guys have an app now! My experience with DYWM goes back about 7 years. I have been an off and on user of the platform for a while. Whenever I consistently do their routines I feel SO much better. My mobility and strength improve after just a couple weeks. Stoked the app casts well without any glitches too. Awesome!
I tried using the app but found it to cause issues when it comes to managing your account. The app could use better user interface and help sections. The content was good, but the app itself it sub-par and not worth the subscription charge.
I don’t know what is going on with the app but recently I have to manually log in every time I open the app. This has not always been true- I used to be able to open the app and go right to my favorites. The app opens, but when I go to favorites I am asked to log in.
I love the variety of sessions available and the instructors but the app is in need of improvement. When following a program, the app needs to have a function that takes me to the next in the sequence rather than have to search from scratch each and every time. It also needs to track challenges and which sessions I’ve done before, and perhaps let me rate each one so I know which I prefer and when I last did it. It would also be great if it let me build a playlist so I can design my own program to my personal needs and goals. I haven’t found it yet but super short videos on modifications specific to problem areas would also be helpful. I cannot do a deep squat or kneel on my right knee so have had to find my own modification most of the time.
I love the yoga videos DYWM has available. I’ve been a subscriber for almost a year and a do yoga with the app 5+ days a week. I wish the app performed better and offered more information on each video. If you look in the classes by time limit, say 30 mins, not all 30 min videos are posted there. And the videos are sometimes longer or much shorter than the category they’re listed under. For the challenges, I wish there was a way to select a challenge and it pops up on the Home Screen so I don’t have to scroll thru the programs or challenges pages to find where I left off. I’ve also had the app crash when using the search function. For a subscription over $100 I expected a more optimal platform. There are other apps that offer yoga for a lesser price. I’d rather be instructed by Fiji or Krista but I’m considering ending my subscription and going elsewhere to try out an easier platform.
It’s been terrific seeing the type and length of classes offered on their site grow over the years. Having more different ways to play and track classes, journeys and challenges across devices with the app is great. Teachers I’ve always found to be consistently fantastic like Fiji and Tracey continue to add more new classes and it is also good434lac to see the ongoing addition of new teachers.
Directions, variety, easy to use, endless resources. Sold after a few days of amazing amounts of free material, became a paid subscriber right away bc these folks are the real deal.
Long time user/sustaining member of DYWM website here. Completed over 500 classes, primarily from my phone (since I prefer doing yoga outdoors). I’ve always found it frustrating and difficult that 1) the website doesn’t let me keep track of the classes I completed, and 2) there’s no offline usage (some of the best outdoors also have no connectivity). This app helps with neither of those. On top of that it doesn’t contain all of the classes in DYWM website. The app only offers a « favoriting » feature, which, allegedly, also results in downloading the favorited videos (as I was told by someone from support to « just wait a little bit after favoriting »). It doesn’t. Also it shouldn’t. Anyone with a little user experience knowledge could understand that downloading for offline and favoriting are separate user intentions. Silently downloading a favorited video doesn’t make sense.
The teachers are incredible and this is a wonderful site that focuses on alignment, strength and the true connection of spirituality and meditation that is so often absent in a lot of yoga education. Very grateful I have this in my life.
