My personal favourite drum machine available on iOS.
I love this drum machine, if I could use it on the Vision Pro that would be amazing!
If midi was not omni it would be amazing as a sequencer. Also don’t see. Can’t see much reason at least for myself to upgrade as you can just sample whatever u create
On wednesday I opened the app for 6 mins - it ran in the background for 14 HOURS, using 50% of my ipad battery that day. On thursday I opened it up just for a second to test it - it ran in the background for 6 hours. Why does drumcomputer do this? No other music app that I have does this.
Has all the features you. Need to get a good beat
I love t
The problem is if you are buying for the midi out capabilities, only one channel is able to play. Setting do have channel on and off for the each track but all of the tracks are transmitted through only one channel!
I never thought I would spend $40 (cdn) on a sequencer for iPad when I do most of my music making on a PC, but here we are ❤️ When I talk to people about music production on iOS, I bring up the value of something like DrumComputer. The interface is set up to let you control the right amount of parameters for a good balance between power and simplicity. I can spend 5 minutes in this app and make something unique and interesting enough to carry to a project later. I wish the chain wasn’t limited to 16 patterns so I could just let it run for a while. It would be great to have the pitch modifier start at a 0 and go positive or negative instead of just increase from it’s base value. There are also still bugs. Doing certain actions (hitting undo) will prevent hits from triggering in the sequencer and render that lane useless and I’m not sure how to fix it other than reloading from a saved preset. For me, DrumComputer is a staple and a gateway. There are other drum machines with more robust features, but not many, and certainly not as fun 😀
I like all the functionalities, it is a very complete tool to make rhythms. However, the fact that it is impossible to midi map what is the MAIN interest of this app, meaning all the per track randomisation, shift and delete functions, makes it a bit unusable for live purpose. In a live situation your not going to focus on the screen and hunt for the little buttons here and there you NEED to be able to smash those on a midi controller. I couldn’t find a way to record my play into the sequencer either but maybe I didn’t search enough yet for it.
CAN you please make the play button a little more obvious? HINT: and make it GREEN and easily visible 😄
