DS note

When captured a web page on ios, it does not capture location or the URL. It also does not capture the Web page title. All ios permissions are enabled. -- ipad pro 2018 and iphone 15 pro max with latest os as at December 2023.

Won’t work with https on iOS, only http. Waste of time

On iPhone 7 and iPhone XR: Shuts down with no warning frequently (eg every two sentences) while Swipe typing. Frustratingly unusable as a result. Doesn’t save work as I go, so means I need to hit the Done tick every 2 minutes or I will lose work. Unlike eg Google docs, double tap doesn’t open Edit mode, so after saving, I then need to switch to Edit manually. If/when this is more stable I will give it five stars but until then …

Very quick and intuitive app. Loving it so far!

This app may work fine if you only have a few notes but this is no replacement for Evernote, the app it has copied. I transferred all my notes from Evernote and the performance is so slow it renders it useless. Synology were contacted and seem to be clueless nor even willing to invest any more time in this app to get it working properly. They have implemented enough to be able claim this is a value add when buying their NAS. There is more than enough power in a DS918+ NAS to for an app like this to run properly but the database design is just plain terrible.

I’ve noticed that after writing in the app for a few minutes (around 10), each letter has about a half second lag between typing it and showing up, and each letter after it lags as well, meaning if you type a sentence, it can take a few seconds for the whole sentence to show up on the screen, and same goes for deleting. Weirdly, this problem disappears when closing and opening editing mode again, but happens again after a few minutes. I’m on iOS 12.1.4 on an iPhone 8, 256gb.

Having the passcode protection, like on DS Cloud, would be greatly appreciated (some notes can be confidential also). Also when viewing a note, it's only possible to copy text (to paste later) if you press edit – now it's like like trying to select but sort of jump out. After that, it could get 5 star!

I have used one note, Google keep and notes. I thinks this strikes the user experience balance I am after. Tags are good. Would like swipe to delete . Ability to share from other apps is good including specifying notebooks. Thanks!
