I have tried many applications in the past to keep my children safe from others, SYNOLOGY WRX560 goes right to the core of the problem of keeping the kids safe from themselves! Their frontal lobs have not developed enough to fight against the addictive technology the Tech Companies have designed to be addictive! This equipment is a must have in family homes, I have reduced their screen-time not just with words but with infrastructure, also I have banned certain sites altogether “bye bye YouTube&TikTok”.

my parents always power trip when it come to doing thing like homework so please remove this app because it will is ruining my life and is annoying. Only did five stars so people can see it

This router is by far the easiest and best router I have ever used. Do yourself a favour and just get one. You will not regret it especially if you have a young family. No more arguments and taking away devices. We just give each child a time limit and that’s it. The only downside is the user doesn’t get warning of when they are running low on internet time.

Very good for time keeping but unfortunately for secure dns it’s a dud. As the it works on dns filtering not deep packet inspection so it can easily be by passed using VPNs and sec dns. Synology MUST act soon to make it effective else return my money. Azfar Australia

Pretty good app for a router. I’ve used google wifi. This is way better esp for managing children. Would be nice to add anew device to a safe access group from the notification or device list rather than having to go to the safe access screen.

Don’t waste your time with this app of you use time quotas. Doesn’t work. Inconsistent. Frustrating.

So simple to use and set-up!

Great app - just would really like the ability to adjust dual wan failover and load sharing settings via the app. We have an unreliable but cheaper connection that slows down massively in the evening (only broadband option where we are) and an expensive 4g backup that I’d love to be able to adjust depending on the time of day i.e. put more of the traffic via 4g when the regular internet slows down. Hope this can happen!

Love the app, however please add a function to enable/disable VPN. This would be the coolest and bring luxury from the comfort of your iPhone instead of logging into the web interface which then directs you back to the app..

Just like their storage systems, Synology takes their time to get things right the first time, and not waste consumers time with products that don’t work as promised. Their products work and work well, and the time is taken to get things right.
