Hands down the best health app in the market. Whether I’m looking for a challenging workout or need more restorative movements I know I can go to the durable athlete app for both.
The main reason I am reviewing for a second time is because I had previously been going ham on the app and getting in 6 full sessions a week and felt the best I had felt in a decade. After about a month, I picked up a little injury playing soccer and of course my consistency with working out had faded a bit. I’d still make sure to get 2 to 4 joint by joint sessions in on the app each week though. Because of these I was still pain free. Especially last Monday when Portland had a ridiculous amount of snow: I unexpectedly slipped on an icy deck and immediately went into a hilarious fit of leaning backwards and forwards with my arms flailing everywhere. I remember expecting this to end bad. Mentally, I accepted I had lost control and was going to fall. Thanks to the work I’ve been able to do with the DA app, I didn’t. I’ve been “in better shape” before, been much happier with my physique before, and I’ve been faster before. Any version of me from the past would have ate it on that deck though. The way I am able to stabilize and engage in an instant is just one of the many reasons I am happy with this app. The DA app is always looking out for its users. In so many ways. If you have a sedentary job I highly recommend the mobility exercises. I’m able to get a great workout in minimal time and really like that they date stamp the videos!
I’m so glad this app was created and I can tell how much hard work you guys put into it! I love the layout of the app, and how you have it organized! The only thing that has giving me trouble is learning the movements! I feel like I need a little more guidance. I really love the follow along workouts that are in the active recovery section. On the daily mobility workouts it takes me awhile to get the hang of it. When the movements are timed (For example, 45 seconds for each movement)its hard to keep track of that and watch the videos at the same time!
I’ve been working with Cristian and Natalie for about a month and have already seen results. They holistically analyzed my current diet and training methods and pointed out some areas that were out of sync. Since making adjustments, I feel stronger and recover SIGNIFICANTLY faster after workouts. I can’t recommend these two enough!!
If you’re reading these reviews you’re probably on the fence on if this app will be beneficial for you. Let me do you a favor by saying... it will!! ‘Movement is medicine’ and Cristian + Natalie have done a superb job developing a program that embodies that statement. ((Well done guys!)) As for you, reader, you need this app in your life. I consider myself a ‘seasoned mover’ (that’s definitely not a thing😆) and I still learn so much from them in their videos. Move better, feel better, live better! So get movin’ 💜
Durable Athlete had great content! My favorite is the Lifestyle and Nutrition tips! Definitely had some great advice for Heath and Wellness outside of the gym. Cristian and Natalie are great trainers and definitely are focused not only on physical results, but mental as well! Stoked to see where this goes!
Just moved to Austin and have been looking into personal training around the area. Then I came across Cristian and Natalie and found out they’re making an app. It’s a nice alternative and will save a me a lot more money by using their app content (especially bc if covid rn). The content on here is well organized, there’s a nice mobility and durability workout for each day that’s very refreshing and challenging - I look forward to them every day! Not only is the content worth, the branding is real clean and the app functions pretty well. Cristian and Natalie themselves are very knowledgeable in their fields and have great personalities! I look forward to what the future brings :)
I am a runner and have been dealing with lower back pain for years now. Turns out I just needed to strengthen my core and work on my flexibility and mobility. With the durable athletes help I was able to keep up with the daily mobility workouts that really transformed the way I train! Highly recommended to anyone looking to becomes a stronger athlete.
Christian and Natalie are very knowledgeable and thorough in their teachings. I’m very satisfied with their content and plan to continue to use their training methods to improve my mobility and movement in my workouts.
