Eastern Bank Mobile Banking

I wish they would roll back this app and go back to the previous app. I love Eastern Bank but with this version of the app, it takes days to see debits/credits to my account actually post to the app. This makes it very hard to stay on top my finances since the balance reflected in the app is often inaccurate. I also find the mobile check deposit feature doesn’t work as well as it did with the previous version.

Used to love how easy and hassle free the previous app was. This app is a complete waste! Not only was the change completely nonsensical, the app itself offers close to nothing. It deserves a big 0 ZERO!

The old app was actually perfect and I never had an issue with it. My transactions posted within the same day, so I always knew what was in my account. Now, it takes days to show up, leaving me unsure of my balance. I left TD Bank because of this years ago, slow transactions lead to overdraft fees. Eastern Bank please resolve this, or I will have no choice but to bank somewhere that can keep up with transactions on the app.

The new Eastern mobile banking app is such a huge improvement from the old one. Clean, simple design and everything is easy to find.

You have flip check to meet the account hash marks and rotate the back side to match that. Not good

The system works stupidly. For checks that have dollars and an amount in cents you have to fiddle with it several times to get it to accept the amount in cents.

I have my own username and also manage my parents’ bank accounts. The app doesn’t allow me to log out and log in as a different username. I literally have to delete the app and reinstall or do the forgot my password which made me do the 2nd password again each time I need to get into a different username!! The 2nd 5-digit password is also terrible. Nobody does this. We have enough passwords we need to remember. The two factor authentication is already there. Nobody wants 2 passwords to get into their bank accounts.

I get no notice when my account is debited from either a phone bill or a large transfer to another bank. I get nothing. On the other hand when deposits are made, I get a text. Usually around 6 AM. Not the best time for a text from my bank. They recently updated their online webpages. I’m not sure what for. It has become more confusing then ever. And things that I used to be able to do. I cannot do anymore. They should get a refund from their web designer. If you have a certificate of deposit and let it run out and don’t do anything your money gets rolled over into a savings account that earns some fraction of one percent. This is not a bank working for me.

The check capturing for deposits works terribly.

I love doing my banking via the mobile app. No more trips to the bank to make check deposits! Paying bills via app is so easy! Love it, love it, love it!! Thank you! Donna Berkowitz
