This app never was great but latest version is just terrible. Wrong pictures, appalling grammar (is there no proof reading?) and asks for login every time despite having a subscription. Web site much better so why bother with the app?

Tried to link account to ID etc. but hopeless. Also no facility to read letters.

Unstable. Continous errors.

What is the matter with this app? It keeps on telling me I am not subscribed when I am. I cannot read the e edition on the day but I can read yesterday’s and past editions. Why wait until tomorrow to read todays e edition. I have removed the app and reloaded it but it still doesn’t work properly. It’s a nonsense.

Pay to subscribe to read e edition which you would expect to be available to read on the the morning and not wait until later to read it. Is it unreasonable to expect to view it at 07.00??????

Going digital and with the new app, makes a world of difference. The ui is great with full local news and no ads. Great work EDP

I’m really impressed with the app (v16.1). I’ve never liked the EDP’s web version, but find this much better. Thing I’d like to see improved: — Resume my place in an article when returning to the app. — Links to past stories should open in the app rather than in my browser. — Photos should be zoomable. On the website I can at least expand the display to see more detail. — Comments should sync with those on the website.

I just paid for a years subscription but the app won’t allow me access. It keeps saying access denied. I can open it on safari but it defeats the object of the app.

Disastrous move to EDP+ - more like a huge minus!! Pretty obvious the developers don’t actually use the newspaper. Shame on Archant and Newsquest. Can’t even get the online version easily if at all now. Instead of opening straight to the paper you have to go every time past the headlines page then find the plus page and the first thing that comes up is now a supplement not the paper. Doesn’t fit an iPad screen as well as previously and if you temporarily have to shut off it doesn’t retain your place on the page. This is progress?????!!

Took an hour trying to find how to get the digital edition back on my 87 year old mother’s iPad. Shame on you EDP making such a big change without sending out a helpful email. She’s been without her paper for over 2 weeks before she finally asked for my help.
