Do not buy it. Says 7 days free trial. I got charged for three months with no chance to cancel earlier and make use of that promised free trial. Shame on you guys.

Total scam! It is advertised with seven days of free and risk-free testing. If you then decide to test it, you are immediately charged the full fee. I decided against this app within a few minutes of starting the test phase (so not even one day of the free 7-day period had passed) and now I'm told that the money is non-refundable and my subscription runs for a year. This is a total rip-off. How can an app developer advertise this in the App Store, then rip people off, and Apple doesn't protect its customers from this?

AI works ok-ish but barcodes don’t work at all in Germany. Can we expect that to change in the future? The app looks way better and is easier to use than MyFitnessPal, but so far that seems to be the better solution.

Das Tool macht was es soll, mit einigen Besonderheiten für den deutschen User. Offenbar handelt es sich um ein Projekt in der Entwicklung. Das Tool ist für den englischsprachigen Raum gedacht. Das ist gut für meinen englischen Wortschatz. Es gibt Zugriff zu den britischen Barcode Datenbanken, zu den deutschen (noch) nicht. Die Maßeinheiten sind ebenfalls britisch - ich finde es interessant. Die AI Erkennung ist beeindruckend. Einige Rezepte gibt es dazu. Dass das Ganze überschlägig und nicht grammscharf ist erklärt sich glaube ich von selbst. Seit der Anschaffung von eato bin ich auch ein bisschen leichter geworden. Die alleinige Nutzung des Programms reicht allerdings nicht, man muss auch weniger essen …. 😂

Zunächst musste ich jede Menge Fragen beantworten, die man nicht skippen konnte, nur um nach 15 Minuten festzustellen, dass ein Test der AI Funktion nicht möglich ist, ohne Bezahlung. Da es viele schlechte AI Apps auf dem Markt gibt aktuell, bin ich aber nicht bereit, vor einem Test ein Abo abzuschließen. Zudem verändern sich die angebotenen Preise für Abonnements dauernd stark. Sehr unseriös.

I’m pleasantly surprised how well AI works in this! It is way easier for me to stay on top of food tracking if I just have to take a photo and I can rely on software to calculate it right. To address another review about living in Germany - I also live in Germany and the Barcodes the software doesn’t know you can add yourself using the ingredients and the name of the product. And that also calculates surprisingly well. It may not be 100% accurate with this feature but you can adjust the serving size by simply looking at the calories on the box and you got it. Overall I have to say this tracker was a gamechanger for me and my laziness with tracking and even if you still have to adjust some things, it’s way less work than traditional calorie tracker. Thank you for developing it ☺️

Omg,i Feel myself so fool that i chose this app for my weight lose they are big fraud a big big scam ever happened with myself I must say wow for the management how they fool the peoples I saw this app that they give you opportunity that you use the camera take the pictures of the food and shows how much kcal are there but it’s only a big fraud app, this function even not working right that shows you fraud plz I recommend you all out there plz don’t use this app a big big fraud they are 🤬 i want my money back for subscription,I want back you thieves

It is the worst diet/ calories counting app I‘ve ever used. I got to know it from an instagram ad, they promoted the app as you can save the time you spent to weigh the food by just capturing a picture of the food you wanna eat using the app camera. So, I thought that would be really helpful and time saving. I subscribed directly to their Pro version to be able to use this feature. I tried it with one piece of avocado and then I weighed the avocado and checked it the 2 results. It is not even close! The other thing that they don’t have data base to all products. I live in Germany, and whatever food I tried to scan, isn’t exist in the app. I’ve been using YAZIO App for years now and they have a huge data base for almost everything and even you can enter into their data any food which doesn’t exist. I cancelled the subscription with this App and I’ll go back to use YAZIO knowing that it is not a scammer.

I downloaded the app and really wanted to give it an earnest try during my seven day trial. But I was charged within three days. How is that supposed to work? I think it's a good concept however it can't visually see which form or brand of cottage cheese, you're using or how your chicken is cooked etc. So then you're still back to searching and entering manually. Might as well use the free up.
