Since the new iOS software this app doesn’t seem to work at all. It just opens to a black screen. Used to work just great...

It's a great idea and I even used it once when I saw a car crash and it saved life's well done

Brilliant Idea!

Hope I never have to use this app but I travel in Europe a lot and don't know all the emergency numbers. At least I'll always have access to the correct number for the correct country!

Speaking as someone who takes 999 calls, the idea for this app is good BUT once it has made the call, you need to tell the operator (me) that you are using this app, I then have to go to the Echo 112 website, type your number in and then finally I will be shown your position on a google map. Firstly, if you are using your mobile, then the gsm position info is usually passed to the emergency operator anyway. Secondly, if you go to the compass app on your phone it already gives your latitude and longitude. Thirdly, any mapping software on your phone will show you your position, which you can then tell the operator. They would much rather you explain where you are, rather than have to go web surfing to find your location. As a last thought large IT systems fail quite often, so this will not always be available to the operator anyway. So try to know where you are before you make the call. ( probably good advice anyway. )

Based on the test its looks pretty good, not sure if the emergency services will appreciate having to retrieve the users details. Regarding the review about not working on an iPad - seriously would you take an iPad with you into the mountains.......I think not!

This app is NOT compatible with iPad - I keep getting an error message "your device cannot make calls". Presumably this means its not compatible with iPod either.

Great UI. Great test mode. But could do with a "confirm your mobile number by text" mode to stop incorrect or malicious use of other people's numbers.

Il est tout à fait inacceptable qu’une telle application ne soit pas accessible à l’ensemble de la population. Or, les personnes déficientes visuelles ne peuvent pas le utiliser car elle ne tient pas compte de l’outil de lecture d’écran d’Apple, VoiceOver. J’espère que cette amélioration très simple à réaliser sera faite rapidement. je vous en remercie d’avance
