Do not update to latest is you cook in Fahrenheit and it will force to Celsius and there is no way to change to Fahrenheit

Remote control for your Big Green Egg!
Remotely manage and monitor cooking temperatures, monitor the temperature of your food, view graphs of your cooks and receive alerts when your cook is finished or when the EGG temperature is too high or low.
The EGG Genius app works with an EGG Genius WiFi Temperature Controller to:
• Control the device through your smartphone, tablet or computer to remotely manage and monitor the internal temperature of the EGG
• Monitor the temperature of your food; view graphs of your cooks
• Receive alerts when your cook is finished or when the EGG temperature is too high or low
• Quickly reach your desired cooking temperature as the blower ramps up to fan the lighted charcoal; once the desired temp is reached, the variable speed blower automatically adjusts the blower speed to optimize the set temperature.
• Automatically lowers the pit temperature to keep your food warm when the cook is complete.
• Detects the sudden temperature drop from opening the dome and turns the fan off temporarily to avoid over-stoking the fire.
• In the case of a power outage, the unit continues running at the saved set temperature and reconnects to the WiFi network automatically when power returns.
• Use up to 3 meat probes at once – additional meat probes with Y-cable can be purchased separately.

Dumb updates
Changed from Fahrenheit to Celsius mid-cook during last update. Can’t change it back even when you select the option under flame boss, no option to change under BGE. I guess BGE knows what I want for default settings better than I do..
5 Star Egg!
Love using and cooking on the Egg. Back to charcoal is great. The Egg is very easy to control and the bbq results are to die for!

Canadian users. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
It can’t get worse.
Let me preface this review by pointing out that I’m a hardware engineer and I’ve never in my life experienced a connected device engineered so bad. The wifi connectivity is absolutely brutal, it’s nearly impossible to connect and when it does the moment you unplug it and plug in back in it will cease to connect. 5Ghz Wifi is not supported so I had to create a 2.4Ghz network just for this terrible little device. Buy anything else, absolutely anything. This is the worst experience with any “connected” device I’ve ever had.
Junk, don’t buy it
The device will not stay connected.
App and Connectivity Needs Work
Frequent app lockups, login issues, and connectivity issues. Two software engineers here trying to connect the EggGenius to my WiFi router using the App with latest iOS. A trifecta of problems makes the device unusable. Nice concept. Poor execution. Bad strategy on my part for trying this out for the first time on Memorial Day!
Terrible app
Cannot make an account, and thanks to the new update, cannot use your egggenius without making an account. EDIT*** Customer service responded after hours, on a weekend, and it appears they have fixed the issue. Way to go.
Garbage
Won’t even let me create an account. Had 4 people at my house download the app and not a single person could get passed the mandatory requirement to simply create an account. Why on earth should you have to do that to begin with? RIP OFF!
AWFUL
This app is such a massive pile of garbage. I am unable to create a new user to even use it. Please don’t waste your time or money on the egg “genius”.
