This app has provided me with with perfect techniques to improve my speech. Recording feature allowed me to hear how I sound, improving my confidence while speaking at work, interviews, during studying and in everyday conversations. I can see clear and consistent progress from when I started and am excited to continue. I would recommend to anyone who’s looking to reduce their accent.

Excellent app, very useful for improving one’s pronunciation. The app lets you listen the original audio, recording, and listen back yours for comparison. You can also change this settings if you just want to hear the audio without recording. I use the app while walking to work, fantastic!

It’s very easy to use. I like it because you can listen the model, then repeat and record yourself and compare it with the model.

This app is amazing. This new get rid rid of your accent for beginners/elocution is an amazing tool to improve your accent. The words and sentences are much easier than those ones in the app/book get rid of your accent UK1. There are lots of useful examples to use on a daily basis, like in a restaurant etc...

This is an excellent app. It is the first in a series of apps on elocution by the same authors, all of which I have bought and used. I recommend it without reservation to both non-native English speakers and native English speakers (like myself) who want to reduce their accent. It teaches Received Pronunciation which is traditionally taught in leading English drama schools (resulting in the polished accents of top British actors). It is ideal for the many people for whom private lessons in elocution - which are also rarer and harder to find than in the past - are too expensive. This app, although the first in a series, is also stand-alone. It is comprehensive, covering all English sounds. It focuses on words and expressions most commonly used in everyday conversational English. The authors’ approach is to focus on the physical aspects of articulation, getting the student to understand the movements of the mouth and tongue and to practice in front of a mirror. This is a method that works, and is effective for adults who will not be able to change their accent convincingly just by listening and mimicking, as young children can. The app contains recordings of words, sentences and short fun poems spoken by speakers with polished RP accents which you repeat back, with a recording mechanism in the app for instant playback (hearing yourself is an essential part of the learning process). I have looked for other products for teaching elocution and can honestly say that there is nothing else like this available.

It's a great app to start working on your accent and get rid of obvious mistakes that prevent you from sounding correctly so people understand you better. You just need to follow guidance (which is quite good) on how to pronounce one or another sound and it wouldn't take long to see the results.

I have been using this app for the last 3 weeks, and it is great as it allows you to understand how to make the different English sounds and practise at the same time. Also, it is very good at comparing similar sounds.

I really like the concept of the application where I can listen to the correct pronunciation first, then record mine and then listen to the comparison to work on the differences. The explanations are simple and easy to follow. The exercises group the words according to rules and patterns so that they can be remembered. Best of all, I can take the application with me wherever I go to keep practicing.
