I have owned my Ember device for a few years. Overall I am happy with the package but that’s not to say I have some major concerns: 1) price for the credits, especially after a costly device 2) technical support and app updates. The support team answers questions fast but the updates to the app when there’s an issue take very long to be updated and addressed, leaving one with a useless device for many days. 3) some people have noticed that the Ember device is not FDA approved, therefore the accuracy of it may not be what it claims. The company has yet to address this publicly. If you have the money to spend and what a unique device like this I may see a reason to buy. But this device is similar to many bicycle power meters where you may get an approximate number, not a definite one. And they are both expensive!!

I checked my hemoglobin using an blood machine in lab and it was 16.7 g/dl but at same time the ember showing my Hgb is 14.1 . Now I understand why FDA did not approved the device ? also each time I do a full test it costing me 3 dollars and I have to pay through buying new credit package which start at $25 which can be used for 8 full test

Your sensor comes with a number of "free measurements" but afterwards it costs up to 3 credits (1 credit is 1 dollar) to read all of the data. The device itself is already pricey. Charging an extra few dollars to be able to get all the data your sensor can read is a predatory price model that's really not customer friendly.

The app works seamless with Ember hardware! Any customer service issues are answered fast and upgrades to app are instant! Works as expected.

I love the Ember device! I'm a professional athlete and I have always struggled with the Recovery part of the sport. How do I truly know when I'm tired? Throughout my entire career I have been guessing if I'm Recovered and ready to workout again or not. With the Ember device I don't guess. My coach can track my body's data anytime of the day. How my Hemoglobin changes after a hard workout and how many days it takes for my body to recover again. It's truly a blessing to have an Ember device. The Ember app is a great way to record, store, view, and analyze all of your Hemoglobin and pulse rate data. It is organized with easy to read graphs. A must-have app for any athlete monitoring their hemoglobin!

I've been using the Ember device for a few months now, and the data I've compiled has been beyond fascinating! The app does a great job to graph out certain aspects of my training and body chemistry based on what work I've done, and what altitude I've been living at during the period. The measurement is quick and easy to do, I actually look forward to taking it a couple times a day. I'm excited to be learning more about myself, I'd say this product is a must-have for anyone looking to reach their highest level in endurance athletics!
