We have had ours for four years and love it, it helps us to know how much electricity we have used and any problems!

appreciate app, but lacks core features

really wish it would log & chart power metrics over time - at least starting from last on time. wild jt doesnt do that. cannot access or modify or configure unit via app at all. really just a display head unit

Good protection for your rig

Just pulled in to a spot and plugged the unit in and couldn’t get all green. The camp host switched out the breaker and now all green. Well worth the extra step to save your rig.

Works

I like this product. I would like if I could see a log of power consumed and peak/min power used. More of a diagnostic tool. Also, would be nice if it had a generator mode to know when the generator was going to surge to power an air conditioner instead of blocking the surge. Maybe a model with a capacitor.

Awesome device, but app needs updating.

Really glad we upgraded to a PWD, but can we please get error logging in the app? I love that my watch will give me updates when there’s an issue, but why can’t we have the issues logged? Logging would make this pretty much perfect.

I have the EPO 50 watt but for some reason will only run the regular app kinda annoying but it seems to work regardless

Could Be Better

The is a good surge protector but it could be better. 1) my app is fully updated and doesn’t have some of the features it’s shown to have in the pics of it in the App Store. There is no running list of every time an error code was given which it really needs. The list should also include what the error code is/was. For example the volts in line 1 were 132.8v. 2) it needs a 90 second timer. Since the power won’t come back on for 90 seconds after an error code was given and the Watchdog has shut off the power, it really needs an in app timer. 3) I have a 50amp Watchdog. Since the first time I plugged my RV power cord into the Watchdog I can’t get it unplugged. It’s like it immediately fused together at the plug end. I’ve even asked strong men to try and get the ends apart and it’s not coming apart. Also, it’s way too long. Most RV park pedestals aren’t that tall so you have to bend it in odd ways to get it to fit right. But, because it’s so long the plug end where you attach the power cord lays on the ground. If you’re in a rainy part of the country that plug end lays in a puddle of water sometimes for days/weeks on end. My last Watchdog melted together at the plug end/power cord end. I believe because of it laying in water for an extended period of time. Watchdog replaced the surge protector but not my power cord. Now I keep that end wrapped in a small tarp and covered with weatherproof tape. It looks junky and I hate it but I don’t know what else to do to protect it. The whole thing really does need improving. Especially considering how much it costs.

Hardwired model

This is a great addition to my RV. Saved me more then I know. I had two hot water heater boards fry from low voltage issues. Installed for a year now and no more issues. There have been just a handful of times that it tripped because of low voltage at different places at peak times. You just open the app and hit restart. It’s that simple. The APP is also great as you can monitor and check how much voltage and amps are present. Gives you a great ideas of how many amps your devices use.
