Helped me to be purposeful in my time and effort to learning to be more mindful and aware.
I wrote a review saying a feature was needed, and the developers got in touch with me and said they will add it! It was really nice to have an app’s developers listen to feedback and respond in a positive way.
I dont have to change anything about my life. It is how i am with each moment and the pattern of moments that evolve. It is a way of life, not a way to dominate myself , the other or the exigencies of life. We live our life forward in a wholesome way.
For many years now, I’ve tried out wellness and meditation apps to help with my anxiety and spiraling thoughts. I can confidently say that Equa is the only tool that worked and still works till this day. In just the first week of using Equa, I was given a tool that I would be able to use in my daily life. When I feel stressed or anxious, I always think about my senses, just like Equa taught me. It has truly helped to mitigate my panic attacks and has grounded me in difficult moments. Whether it’s getting anxious on a plane, dealing with work stress, or battling moments of feeling overwhelmed with life — Equa’s methodology is what I turn to. I trust the people behind this app and I would recommend it to anyone. Don’t give up on meditation and try out Equa!
My initial review was negative, due mostly to what I viewed as a merging of the ‘Lessons’ and marketing the product. But now that I have been using it for a few weeks its advantages are clear and no more material that could be viewed as marketing. Through touch feedback on the screen (1,2 or 3 taps) the app adjusts what’s presented next, keeping the ‘lessons’ focused on the learner’s needs, which is a great advantage. Still a bit confused about the overall‘course outline’ - thus 4, not 5 stars- but I hope that will become clearer with time.
Learning so much and finding peace at the same time has never felt so easy. Lessons are “bite sized” chunks making it easier to fit in to real life than some other meditation apps. Clear and lovely voice guidance without distraction of music or fake background noise create an opportunity to deep dive each experience. Highly recommend.
I gave Equa a try after learning about it in Scientific American. I really like how it asks me questions while practicing and seems to give guidance based on what I say. Seems they’re really trying to do it right
There are so many apps to help with meditation and mindfulness. Some have some good features. Equa is the real deal. This an incredibly well designed app. The content is specifically designed based on principles from cutting edge research at Carnegie Mellon. It is packaged into a well-designed app. Having now used Equa for over a month, I can say it has made a huge difference in my life. I didn’t expect that when I began. I was hoping for a few tips about mindfulness and such. Instead I really find myself looking at life differently- and for the better. Highly recommended.
The first 13 lessons were great. Although I’m a premium subscriber, the app doesn’t allow me to proceed any further. When I click on lesson 14, the screen redirects me to “subscribe”
I enjoyed the few introductory sessions I did before subscribing, but have been disappointed by the repetitive content. There isn't much difference from one course to another.
