Enjoy the challenge of saving energy.
This app is a clever technological link between using less energy and being rewarded for this. The notifications make this easy to use no matter where you are.
Lovely app to earn gift cards while saving energy
I have been using another app for rewards by registering the smart meter to the app. Which was not as good as this one. This is a very good app which allows you to see what you have been using under a power down event. Downside is the company’s estimate of what you will be using in a time frame. Which means that the average should be taken into account, but personally I don’t see this can be accurate. The company can put anything and then you must use less this time.
I find equiwatt easy to use with mostly plenty of warning so I can plan my cooking etc.
This app is good u can earn points and then convert them into vouchers
It’s a win win really - earn points and vouchers and also keep an eye out on your electricity bill and try to reduce how much you are using. It might be pennies you save each time but in the past year I’ve cashed out over £50 in vouchers!
It’s easy to take part in power down events and you can accumulate points to exchange for gift cards. I’ve had a £15 Costa gift card so far. It helps you be more aware of your energy usage. They also run monthly prize draws and I won £10 which was great
A great idea crippled by a lethargic experience. Registration, connectivity and general usage is so close, yet so stifling. The TP Link integration is baffling. I have 2 x 3 Gang smart Extension cords and 5 x 1 Gang smart plugs, yet upon connecting, the app reports ‘No smart plugs found in your account’. Connectivity to EV (Tesla) was painful, but eventually got there. Connectivity to my electricity supplier didn’t work on the automated methods. And verification on the ‘credit/debit card’ process just looped. So I went through it 4 times at 0.30p a pop. No messages or anything to tell me, but eventually it processed me through the manual verification…. Great… So far I am 40 minutes in and have only managed to connect my EV. Can’t wait to see Janet, 55, being invited to using this. Going green requires being more than just smart, it requires extreme patience and a good understanding of IT, so automatically excludes large swathes of the population.
