Title: Extremely Frustrating Experience with Subscription Validation

I was really excited to try out the Erudite dictionary app, especially since I paid for an entire year upfront for $9.99. I thought it would be a great investment to enhance my vocabulary and explore the app’s various features. Unfortunately, this excitement quickly turned into frustration.

Every single time I open the app, it fails to recognize my paid subscription. This means I have to manually restore my purchase every time, which is incredibly annoying. The whole point of paying for a subscription is to have seamless access to premium features, but instead, I’m constantly dealing with this validation issue.

What makes it even worse is that by the time I realize my subscription hasn’t been validated, I’ve already wasted time exploring the limited features, only to be reminded that I’m not getting the full experience I paid for. It’s discouraging and has really soured my initial enthusiasm for the app.

I’ve tried everything to fix this, but nothing seems to work. It’s a shame because the app has so much potential, but this subscription issue is a dealbreaker. I hope the developers address this problem soon, but until then, I can’t recommend this app to anyone. Save your money and look for a more reliable dictionary app.

I use this app very often because I am learning Taiwan mandarin. It will give me words used in Taiwan instead of Google Translate’s incorrect and often out of context translations, but I wish they would also offer transliteration.

I’ve been searching for a good Japanese-English dictionary that can be used on the Apple Watch, and am very satisfied with the iPhone version of the app. However, I don’t like the way the Apple Watch version only allows us to key in words via dictation. Couldn’t you let us do so using the Scribble function instead? And even if I do, it always interprets what I say as English, and provide the Japanese definition of the word instead of the other way round, and I have no idea how to fix it. Please address the issues, and I will raise my rating after that.
