another lovely sample set for iPad
We have several apps from this developer, but this is our first VPO sample set from an organ in Hungary, and Markus's only app, as far as I can tell, of an organ in a Catholic church. (Most of the other ones are in Protestant churches or conservatories.) The version you download from the app store has only seven stops, but there are instructions on his website to import the full 14 stops if you happen to have purchased them from the original source, which we did. As always, the organ apps from this developer are easy to set up and use, and have a nice feature set for saving and recalling combinations, and applying different reverb effects, both simulated and 'real' (impulse response convolution.) My initial impression of this organ set is it's less 'precise' than the Pitea or Burea apps, which might be better for elaborate classical works, but this one is good for the sorts of things you might play in church. It's also priced accordingly. We are using all these apps with an iPad pro connected to an external MIDI adapter that also has 1/4' jacks for audio out, with a two-manual electronic organ console with 32-note AGO pedalboard.
