I occasionally build staircases and yes I can do the math… and yes, I use Sketchup to create drawings and it is perfectly capable of turning out the calculations. What gets built in real world conditions sometimes differs from the perfect world in Sketchup and I want to recalculate quickly on the job site. I have no interest in paying ongoing subscription prices for a full blown construction calculator that I won’t use 90% of the time. This is simple, user friendly, effective and low cost… ticks all the check boxes. Thank you, Sir!
