>> A NEW WAY TO RECOVER AT HOME
Exer Health helps people measure and track the progress of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, particularly before and after a surgery. For major joints like your shoulder, knee and hip our computer vision is trained to precisely measure range of motion, automatically count reps and offer you real-time form correction during exercises.
Exer is offered exclusively to the individuals working with our healthcare partners at no cost. We are onboarding new providers every week, so if your doctor or physical therapist isn’t using our platform you can let them know we’d love to give them a free demonstration of how it works.
>> HOW EXER HEALTH WORKS
Exer Health automatically detects physical biomarkers on your body - without sensors or extra hardware - which are then used to accurately measure angles and other important joint-related metrics while you perform basic movements related to your recovery.
The experience can feel a little magical - you can use your phone to collect specific, accurate measurements that will give your healthcare provider precise data that was previously only attainable if you went into the office to meet with them in person.
>> CUTTING-EDGE DIGITAL HEALTH
Exer Health is a simple but cutting-edge computer vision app you can take home with you and use to measure your progress with a lot more frequency and accuracy than was previously possible.
Instead of irregular assessments of joint mobility or strength while you’re in your surgeon’s or physical therapist’s office, Exer Health is an easy way to quickly check these critical metrics once a week or more. Increasing the frequency of these measurements results in better data for your healthcare provider to use when customizing and monitoring your progress and recovery.
>> NO EXTRA HARDWARE OR SENSORS
Exer Health runs entirely on your iPhone. There is no need for sensors or extra hardware, unlike some of the other AI-powered motion tracking solutions you may have used before.
This means that you can use Exer Health without putting on any wearables or sensor suits, and doing your assessments can fit seamlessly into your daily life.
>> CHECK IN DAILY ON PAIN LEVELS
Exer Health also lets you easily flag any issues you’re having right away using our daily SMS prompt, which asks you to report pain levels on a scale of 1 to 10.
These lightweight, daily reports give your care team valuable insights into your day-to-day experience, and empower them with insights that will fuel a much more comprehensive approach to helping you get back to normal.
>> AT-HOME FORM GUIDANCE
You shouldn’t feel as though you might be doing an exercise or movement wrong, so Exer’s motion AI is trained to help you through certain movements with real-time feedback on your form. This feedback is both visual and via audio - a “coaching” voice to help you stay safe and using good form. This is especially useful when you are recovering from a significant health event - you may not have all the strength you used to!
Our form correction can be turned on and off in your settings, and is only meant to help you perform the movements that your healthcare provider suggests for you in a way that doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable or in a way that puts you at a risk for injury.
>> PRIVACY-PRESERVING TECHNOLOGY
We build our platform with privacy in mind so you can rest assured that measurements, metrics and personal data that your assessments generate is only visible to you and your healthcare provider.
We made Exer as “on-the-edge AI technology”, which means that our motion-measuring capabilities work correctly without sending any video up into the cloud or off of your personal device. This is a real engineering challenge, but we worked hard at it so that we could maintain your privacy without sacrificing the app’s ability to accurately measure your movements and provide you with useful real-time feedback.

Since I’m on extended assignment outside the US, I needed to use this without a code. App description doesn’t mention you need one. Now no access AND zero customer support. Hoped to contact them but even the website gives no options!!!
