i’m not a goodreads fan and this app is the perfect substitute! it has all the important things PLUS a bunch of extra neat features and it does it all while looking immaculate. what more do you want? i especially love the little analysis you get on your reading type - it’s already so accurate!!
I like the star rating system, and the stats! However, there are major glitches when transferring data from goodreads to Fable, and you have to edit manually, no matter how many times you re-import your data!
I think the app is great! I just wish you could also enter that you read books for the second time.
fable has everything goodreads, storygraph & literal couldn't achieve: it tracks your books & tv shows, has statistics to check out, generates cute daily analysis of your reading, offers buddy reads/book clubs, is quick & responsive (!!) and aesthetic to look at! am very in love with every feature!
i would love to import my storygraph stats to this app!!
Upon recommendations and Fable being labelled as “a must for every reader” I downloaded the app. Firstly I really like the features of being able to use it as a sort of blog and the “bookclub” function. The design is quite nice, too, and I like the half star review option a lot. But so far, that’s everything I like about the app… Being able to import your Goodreads library/data seemed very convenient, but that’s also where A LOT went wrong. This being said there are a lot of books missing, most books have been added in a different edition than originally added on GR and in addition to that my reading goal/challenge stats have not transferred either. I am also experiencing a very big, annoying and time consuming issue with the lists I have created on GR. Books from my “to read” lists have been added to my list of completed books, other lists have been duplicated at least five times with either one or two (sometimes even none) books in them. Furthermore the reviews have not been transferred correctly either (in terms of ratings). Aside from these issues I would like to recommend a few features which would be very helpful (unless I have not discovered these yet) in terms of adding books and easier organisation: - adding books via scanning the barcode - adding/looking books up by searching for the ISBN - being able to organise or delete books/lists by selecting multiple at once instead of having to do everything by a separate click (Written 15/10/2024)
I downloaded the app because of recommendations and had a tragic first impression. The app doesn’t load properly on my phone and won’t even start on my iPad or in the browser of my Mac. The tech support says they’re working on it but idk kinda disappointed that I can’t use it. Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.
I absolutely love this app. I use it like every day. Just one little thing I think is a bit sad is that you can rate Books you read but not the TV-Shows you watched. I would be sooo great if that feature could be added.
it's a great app to connect with readers both through clubs and on the timeline, however i wish there would be authors profiles with their written works listed and the option to add comments to DNFed books. but besides those two criticisms i adore and prefer the app over other book apps 🤍
The new update is so good, and I’m enjoying it so much. I love the widget and that I can track my reading. I also adore the design and the aesthetics of the app. I use it everyday, and I’m loving it!🫡
