Falper SR - Enhance Images

I’ve compared this app to other free super resolution apps on my iPad Pro and I like the results this one does better. I did an upscale with multiple apps, and leaded them as layers in Procreate so I could compare them very closely. Unfortunately, the app has several big bugs that make it hard to use; 1. The image selector you used to load your photo initially is terrible. Images are in no particular order and the favorite mark (heart) from Photos isn’t shown. If you have multiple variations of the same photo it can be very very difficult to tell which one you should select. 2. I have to quit and restart between images. It can’t do two images in a row. (iPad Pro w/ 512 Gb) 3. Sometimes, the ad you need to watch to pay for the upscale doesn’t load. It does the upscale, deducts your free point for the day, but won’t let you save it. Despite these it is still my preferred app - the images are that much better. However, either 1 or 2 above would be enough to stop me upgrading to pro. Both together are a big barrier to really loving this app

The Upscaling for digital art is the best I’ve seen out of any application- outclassing Waifu2x and Gigapixel AI. Now if it didn't have a problem I’d end the review there, but it has two problems; one major and one not so much. The major issue is that all upscaled images will lose their alpha channel (transparency) and be replaced by a black background. This problem is significant and should be fixed. The minor problem is that in some scenarios, no upscaling will occur on an image (typically very low res images). I’d like to end this review with a request to maybe select which format to save the image as. If there was a pay-once version of this software for pc that didn’t have the issues I listed above that would be phenomenal.

This app dosn’t work with some apps but when it does it’s Ok.

I was reserved about reviewing the earlier version, but with the latest version there still is no perceivable difference in upscaling or or denoise. Tested on an iPad Pro 2018 and iPhone X.

After launching the app I added my photo and began the process. After it was done processing I hit the save button but it had failed to save. I decided to restart the app and do it again. This time it worked! I noticed that the image had been upscaled and compared it to the original photo. The reason as to why the photo didn’t save on the first try may have been because I hit the button more than once since I was unsure if it recognized my tap. The app did what it was supposed to do the only complaint I would have is that it isn’t 100% free. You get 10 free images to save than I believe you have to pay. If you guys could add ads instead of not making it free it would be an easy 5 star. I post lots of images to Instagram and would prefer if it was free but everybody’s got to make there money somewhere.

After the new update, I was a LITTLE disappointed that I had to pay for unlimited images instead of having to wait to regain images, but the upscale quality improved noticeably. It's the best upscaling for iPhone.

If you ever feel useless just remember, this exists.
