This app is ridiculously buggy. It logs you out randomly all the time. Notifications don’t clear like they should. It makes communication from the school and county even more annoying than it already is by default.

I was using the app to communicate with my daughters teacher. Then all of a sudden it kicked me and requested a 6 to 12 digit code that the school does not have the ability to give! I have deleted it and reinstalled it and it is still asking for that code! I need to be able to communicate with my child’s teacher! This app is not user friendly!

1 star. I would give it 0 stars if it where an option. Why, because there is only space for two parents. But not all families come with two parents. Sometimes it takes a village. Talking Points doesn’t allow for that. Sure, I can go into the class and be the “class mom” but I am completely missing out on all of the communication, the opportunities, and the knowledge. Bad move. Very bad move.

Whenever receive a notification. And click thru to the app. It goes to login screen every time. After logging in to view the new message, and leave the app. When I go back it is requiring registration. with OTP verification everytime

The SMS messages seem to be more reliable than the App. I installed the app and despite having notifications tuned “on” and doing multiple troubleshooting attempts via the App’s “self diagnostic” tool, I continued to have problems receiving notifications. The “received messages” wouldn’t show up either unless I happened to send a message to that specific recipient. Ended up removing the app. There is no “badge” or “banner” for notifications either. It would be nice to have them as backup when the alert sound doesn’t work.

Shared message feature doesn’t work. AI chatbot gave me the run around then asked if I wanted a human agent. I said yes and it closed the chat.

Basic functionality works well. The photo viewer is worst in class and needs serious help.

Wondering why my app constantly logs me out or doesn't notify me with announcements or messages? I've heard some people say similiar things, and then some people say it runs perfectly

Every time the app updates, my account is logged out. Worse, the share message setting will be reset to disabled. The other parent can’t see the communication until it is re-enabled. This is a bad bug!

After four unanswered emails to their customer support over 30 days, I’m writing my first-ever app review. They just don’t seem to care when a parent’s app is no longer connecting. My account stopped connecting to my kid’s school one day. The school pointed me to TalkingPoints. They initially responded to my help request, asking for my information. And then never responded again, after four requests.
