I would not recommend Feit. The lights don’t stay connected well, the app is clunky and outdated, and the everyday frustration of dealing with both of these items does not make this a worthwhile purchase. I have to reconnect one set of bulbs almost daily. You turn them on, they start strobing on and off. You have to get on the app, refresh it multiple times, then connect to bluetooth again to repair them. But it doesn’t last. You’re back doing the same thing over again. They don’t stay in groups either. Every time they get disconnected (daily!) you have to regroup them to actually use the features advertised — changing color, dimming, etc. The app feels like it was designed in 2010. It’s clunky and not functional. The dimming feature is just nonsensical. If you have a color setting on (say red), if you want to dim that color, the app will crank the lights all the way up to the brightest white possible first, then you have to select the color AGAIN to dim. Even if your bulbs don’t work, you could at least make the app more functional. 1/5 stars overall. I wish I had made a different choice before committing to several of these bulbs. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

I’m giving this only two stars because there is no way to change the wifi on any of the devices unless you factory reset them and re-add them. When you have multiple devices this is ridiculous. Please add this function as soon as possible.

Lights turn on and off at all sorts of random hours throughout the night and day. They are not tied to any schedule, nor would a schedule be this random. Remote sometimes triggers lights it wasn’t paired with. Remote usually takes 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 taps on the on/off button to change the state of the lights 1 time.

Don’t buy this product. You’re better off getting one of the better companies bulbs not these cheap ones.

When going through Alarm screen shots, clicking on the Event, takes you to a live view rather than go to the actual Event.

For a while, everything worked seamlessly. Now the lights constantly drop offline, and when I do get them back online I can never get the groups to work. So I have to select each and every bulb individually and it makes it hard to change colors and brightness settings. Was surprised when I came here and there was no app update to address this. (And yes, I have fully reset the lights and re-added them to no avail.)

The system is better than Belkin’s Wemo smart plug and app. With Wemo I have to spend a lot of time trying to install again and it’s buggy. However, the Feit app is not perfect. There were times when press and hold a device to do a setting, the app opened another device. When I finally was able to get to the setting to update the scheduling, I changed the timing and save it, it was as if I did not do anything and I would have to update the scheduling again.

Just did a deep dive on recurring WIFI issues in my home along with DSL traffic jams. Found a circus of exchanges between all my 5 Feit devices, the most frantic of which was my doorbell. Decoding the raw protocol and matching it to router TX/RX records has me wondering why so many frames are needed by the destination connection. Hmmm. Well it was an illuminating journey…have to let this experiment go dark after I collect more evidence. Quite disappointing.
