Felt Board

This is the creativity app that everyone needs on their iPad. It will be the dream app for early childhood and special needs teachers, children of all ages love it, and I can’t think of too many adults who won’t enjoy making felt scenes either. There are so many backgrounds, characters and items, and you can save your scenes too, which is a big bonus for my kids as they like to go back and work on scenes they have created earlier. What I love is that you can have unlimited pieces, and they never go missing! This is one of my favourite apps EVER.

This is a really fun app. It's fairly intuitive and works like a felt board. It is handy that you can glue things together, though it felt weird putting the glue on top of what was being glued down! I found the drawers with bits and pieces works well and didn't take up too much of the screen. I did find though that when trying to scroll within a drawer, the app kept selecting items rather than scrolling so I had lots of unwanted items on the board that then needed to be put in the recycle bin. Having a recycle bin was a nice touch, too. Perhaps a slender scroll bar along the drawers, when opened, would help? Thanks.

The Nostalgia i felt when first opening this app was overwhelming , But would it be the same as when i was a child ? it is and better as there are no losing of pieces or getting glue all over my hands! , It is an easy to use app where my kids can bring out their creativity , I have found myself arguing on who is next to use this app . My daughter and i have spent hours together using it to make our own magical worlds . Easy to use interface , Lots of different things to use in as many ways as you can think of the sky is the limit ! And unlike the old felt board you can take a picture of your creation before you move into your next . A definite must for any child and parent!!.

well I felt as though I was transferred back in time!! What a wonderful app. The brilliance of a felt board but none of the mess left on the floor, glue stuck to the hands and missing pieces!!! Well worth the $$. Keep up the good wok. More apps like this please!

i remember in elementary i used to play this all the time on the ipad and when i got home from school truly a great time and memories i dobut that the creator will see this comnent since this game is over 11 years old but i just wanna say thank u for a great childhood game yayyy

I’m a preschool teacher. I’ve recently started doing Zoom meetings due to the pandemic. I teach 3 year olds and I’m very happy that I get to do felt board stories, rhymes and games with this app. My class loves them! It is easy to use and intuitive. It functions like a real flannel board and I like that you can reduce the size of the objects. One request I have is for the developers to provide different colours of the same object. For example, I have this game where the kids guess which house the mouse is hiding. Originally, the houses have different colours. But because the house in the app has only one colour, I had to add a number to the house. Another reason for having different colours for an object is so that they’re easy to see even though they overlap. There’s a rhyme that involves 5 elephants playing in the bathtub that I’m bummed to not be able to do because putting them together in the tub makes them look like they’re 1 entity with multiple eyes and trunk. So yeah, different colours would be great. I’d even be willing to spend extra for those additional things

But glitchy. Keeps crashing when adding clothes.

This is a really awesome game. It can be fun for older kids too. I am 9 and I love it. There is a lot of different stuff to work with, and you can be totally creative!

This app is used by my class and is a preferred program. There are endless possibilities for the pictures that can be made with this program. There are a variety of categories as well as choices within them. You are also able to resize the pieces to fit your pictures. I recommend this program to other teachers.

I don't really know any way to describe this other than it is pretty much the Gold Standard for what a felt board app should be. Very well thought out, User Interface feels incredible. After a minute or two, you forget that you are using an app on an iPad and the experience transforms into what feels like, looks like and essentially is a traditional felt board------ but with all the awesomeness that software brings to the table. I would pay $20.00 for this app because it accomplishes and surpasses it's intended goal. Thank you Software Smoothie.
