Good, but unfortunately too much is missing to be called 'Pro'
I recently needed an app to process and edit audio on my iPhone while on the go. I was looking for some recommendations and reviews and found a lot of positive feedback on this app called Ferrite, so after searching for some more alternatives for a while I tested the free version and shortly afterwards upgraded to the pro version which looked very promising. However, while working on a single simple project that involved only editing and audio enhancements to video recordings of my students' performances, I found that while this app offers some really great features, there is too much missing to make this app worthy of the 'Pro' label in my eyes. I'm sorry to say this so openly, but although I paid for the professional version - and I imagine you spent a lot of time creating it, in its current state your app is unfortunately still basically a better dictation app with deeper audio editing and a few great features (e.g. fade tool), thus more or less unusable for more professional work, albeit at a pretty standard level. I'm adding a list of missing features that were significantly slowing down my work on the project and I often had to solve them using other applications. Please consider implementing these features in future updates, as your app has really strong potential besides the great graphic design and would then quite possibly have no competition, especially when it comes to working with audio purely on the iPhone. Thank you. - sidebar button showing up and disappearing in a strange manner, but mostly missing even in landscape mode - set recording format to use external hardware's full potential (uncompressed wave up to 24bit/96kHz) - there is no way, or at least I haven't found one, to start recording from inside a project to the next track while listening to previously recorded material on previous tracks !!! - this has to do with the fact that you can't actually open a new empty project and then start recording, because the new project is only 'opened' after you start recording from the main screen. This can certainly be quite practical in some situations, in many other cases however it is very impractical. - loop playback !!! (cycle recording), I couldn't believe that this absolutely basic feature was missing - lock regions, tracks - freeze tracks - insert silence, mute regions - set the overall project length, extend it beyond the last region, so that the Play Head does not stop immediately at the end of the last region - disable automation
