Fighting style changes by default
l was really enjoying this game and would’ve given it 5* but at some random point, without me having requested it, my character’s style automatically changed from aggressive to defensive. He began jumping about 7 feet backwards every time l blocked instead of just blocking on the spot. lt made it impossible to follow up a block with a fast counter-strike because then l was too far away. lnstead of me being able to pin my opponent down at their end of the runway, they were doing it to me. And l couldnt find any way to switch it back to how l wanted it. Completely ruined what could otherwise be a really good game, so l had to stop playing it.

A Very Good Game
This Is A Very Fun Game Of Fencing, And Is Very Well Coded To Be Realistic, Competitive And Engaging. It Uses Real Fencing Moves, And Has A Brilliant Selection Of Game Modes. I Would Definitely Recommend This Game. I Only Have ONE SMALL Problem To Be Fixed. OCCASIONALLY, When Having A 3v3 Duel, I Will Defeat My Adversary, But It Will Go Back To The Game’s Home Screen And A Sign Will Pop Up Saying “UNFINISHED RANKED FIGHT FOUND. CONTINUE?” When This Happens, I Have Not Left The Battle At All. Then, It Goes Back To The Battle Saying The Character I Was Using Had Been Defeated (Which It Hadn’t!), And Forces Me To Pick One Of My Other Two Characters. This Could Be Some Sort Of Hack My Opponents Use, But It Is QUITE ANNOYING. If This Could Be Fixed, I Would Greatly Appreciate It.
Is it real multiplayer?
The “opponents” on the supposed multiplayer are ludicrously easy and I haven’t lost yet. Suspiciously akin to shadow fight 3 where you’re only playing an ai via the characters created by others rather than real people.
If so this is a real shame, plenty of more data heavy games do much more whilst keeping it truly multiplayer so I hesitate to believe it but still its so easy I must wonder.
Inaccurate narration
I have been doing the chapters and when I reach chapter 8, I am in the Chinese league (because I set my account to Chinese), and the defenders’ narrations are very arrogant, which is not what a true Chinese that respects our values of modesty and equality would say. I am overall satisfied with the game, but I would much appreciate the changes to the narration.
Good game however
The content was great up until the second chapter where you have to do online duels to progress, I waited in ‘searching for opponent’ for half an hour before giving up. I will try again later however very upsetting I can’t continue now. Work on your matchmaking please!!!
Feckless game design
New update has completely ruined the game, the team behind this are embarrassing, useless :(((

When you get to the France level, everything onwards is just luck and rng because the bots get constant block breaks and a stamina meter that regents so quick that it is impossible to beat.

I’m a real life fencer - read this
Firstly, it’s brilliant to see a mainstream fencing game - well done. Ok there’s some odd rule changes from the real sport, and fencing epee vs sabre is unrealistic, but it’s a mobile game! I like it!
Here’s something I spotted. For a sport that has a history of elitism, (it really isn’t today and I recommend all to try it for real), there’s not one black character. You only see hands but they’re all white, the spectators all white, the coach is white, the manager is white, everyone is white.
I have lived in U.K. and USA, and I’m not a race activist, but this kinda stuck out when playing the game. And in real life the FIE and national fencing bodies have been putting a massive push on ethnic representation for years. Seems like a really odd oversight by the game’s developers... who I assume were all white?
