My favorite thing about this app is that it’s not linked to my bank. I don’t have to categorize purchases or try to figure out what happened when someone paid me back for lunch with Venmo. I budget my bills and subscriptions out in Excel, but this app lets me budget my spending money. Instead of having a line item for coffee, and the nail salon, and everything else I can lump it all together in the budget and then track the spending here. The interface is a bit buggy, I had trouble deleting categories, and there is no back or undo button, but this is an easy way to track how you spend. I wish it was easier to change the income amount or a line item amount, but not clean slate the whole budget. I do like how easy it is the move money between items.
I just started using nimble and I’m really enjoying it so far. Creating a budget has never been easier and the app’s design is beautiful! There are a few bugs that need to be worked out, and once they’re improved, I’ll happily change my rating. Keep up the great work! Issues: - The “edit categories” button is all the way at the bottom of the page. I wish it was located near the top as well or even in the tool bar near the strings icon. - I wish there was a way to easily edit a group’s name. My current way around this is to create an entirely new group and drag all of my categories to the new group. Not impossible, but a little cumbersome. - When I go to edit a budget category, sometimes the delete button is too far left and the app won’t register the click and think I’m trying to rename the category instead. - Sometimes the budget amounts glitch when the app page changes (for example, to and from edit categories page and the normal dashboard) and leaves some of the category amounts invisible. - Lastly, the way to change a category’s budgeted amount feels a little clunky. When I go to change the amount, I expect for the new amount I type in to become the new budgeted amount. Instead, it either adds or subtracts the newly typed amount to the previous budgeted amount depending on if I press the “+” or “-“ icons. It takes some getting used to and isn’t impossible to navigate, but it would be nice if the process of editing an category amount felt a little more intuitive.
Holy crap I just opened the darn app and was trying to get started and every freaking option I pick is only for Pro!!?? Like I can't even make a Login without pro version??!! #WHACK! #Delete
I typed in ONE thing wrong and found that it’s impossible to fix unless I PAY to simply change one variable!
I love this app but I can’t input decimals which is a huge overlook :( and I hate that I have to include my savings as part of my income. I just want to see my savings separate from my income. Also if you mess up, you can’t get an undo unless you pay for pro. Once that number’s in, it’s in for good unless you want to delete the whole category and start over or pay for pro. Seems like a scam :/
No cigar... I like the concept, and the app is clean and easy to navigate. My biggest complaints are that if you mess up, there’s no “undo” function for individual items. I was able to manage some workarounds, but when I did that, the budget would adjust to what it should’ve adjusted to when I actually spent the money and there was no way to change it. When I wanted to reset my values to zero, I needed to pay for a pro subscription. I think being able to reset the values is a basic function that should be accessible to everyone free of charge. I’m not willing to pay for an app to get a feature that I would expect to find in a free one. I would pay for the pro version of the app if it offered visual charts and diagrams showing my spending habits as well as multiple pages for budgeting, say on a weekly/biweekly/monthly basis. But as far as I can tell, there’s nothing about this app that screams “buy me!”
I love this app but how are you supposed to put decimals in? Say I spent 21.32 on gas. How would I insert that?
This app is awesome. So easy to use and the watch app is 👌👌. Five stars all day.
This app is the first one I’ve found that does exactly what I need and nothing more. I don’t understand why budgeting apps have to be so complicated. The envelope method is very simple. Thanks for making this easy!
