My checking account has disappeared

I have a tight schedule today and was worried that I wouldn’t have time to get to the bank, then I remember that I could do an electronic deposit. Which would allow me to not make at least one of my mini steps. And it worked! So grateful that this electronic deposit made my day easy!

I enjoy the trustworthy service I can depend on in a timely fashion.

Requires IOS 16.01. My phones latest available update is 15.8.2. Useless app now.

So apparently iOS 15 (the last version I can upgrade to with an iPhone 7) isn’t good enough anymore for First American’s app, despite using thumbprint scan. Guess I’ll have to bookmark the website and enter my text password into my saved passwords, which seems a lot less SAFE.

The app no longer works unless you go out and buy a new phone. When you open the app, a pop up comes up telling you that you must update the app, if you go to the AppStore to update it, it tells you that it requires iOS 16, some phones can not get iOS 16 like the iPhone 7, 6s, and 6. That means that if you want to continue to use the First American Bank App, you have to go out and buy a new phone, and I guarantee you that there is no reason that the app NEEDS iOS 16, I am an app developer and you can choose the required version of iOS your app needs inside of xCode when you are building your app, the default used to be iOS 11 but I think they may have changed it to iOS 16. I have the iPhone XS Max and I can update it but I don't want to because updating your phone makes it go slower, also even if I wanted to get iOS 16, I can't because the newest update is iOS 17 so I would have to update to iOS 17.4. But don't worry, I have found Salvation... go to the first American bank website and tap the "sign in" button and sign in, it will take you to a page that is a 1:1 replica of the First American Bank App, you can then tap the export button and tap "add to Home Screen" to create an app bookmark on your Home Screen that works basically the same as the First American Bank App.

The First American Bank app is a pleasure to use. I use a multitude of apps to conduct my day-to-day on-line transactions…. this is without a doubt one of my favorites. Easy to navigate, user-friendly, and extremely flexible. I actually look forward to using it! Wish more apps were as enjoyable to use as this one. I can`t think of one negative aspect of this app. Everything I need is at my disposal.

I liked how easy it was to deposit my checks. This is a very convenient way to use the mobile app.
