FitBark GPS for Dogs & Cats

I’ve only been using this with my dog for less than 1 week. I have been very impressed with the product, app, customer service support, and data analytics that it provides so far! Just want to stress test the product a little more before I bump it up to 5 stars! One item that I could see as an improvement would be a spot for owners to put in approximate calories based on meals logged into the app and have a spot to do a direct compare with the estimated calories burned that the app already provides.

I really haven’t been liking the app. It always seems to be down or faulty. My pets steps hardly ever show. You have to pay a subscription fee for the GPS tracker feature. I can’t ever get the home buttons to work. Honestly not sure what the point is to follow other dogs.

This support group is AWESOME! My dog has been doing great with his Fitbark and unfortunately he lost it on our walk this morning. I contacted them and they suggested an app to find it through Bluetooth. We retraced the walk and it popped upon the app. Can’t thank them enough

We wanted to gain more insights about our puppy’s activity level and FitBark is perfect for that. His breed (Miniature American Shepherd) needs frequent exercise and enrichment. We are not terribly active people so FitBark helps to remind us that puppers needs more activity to meet our daily goals for him. I also like how as long as one owner with the app is near the FitBark, another owner can view the real time data even remotely. Overall, great execution with the app and with the hardware. Thanks FitBark!

Love this device. We have acreage so she runs loose while I walk. Very fun to see how many miles she gets in a day. Battery charge lasts a surprising long time!

You can’t use the app at all unless you have the app set to always grant location tracking. Not only is it a potential privacy issue but it uses a ton of battery throughout the day

I contacted the support chat on the app and was paired with someone going by Phepie. It was about receiving too many promotional emails from Fitbark, how to shut them off, and how to keep weekly/monthly reports for my dog’s activity still being sent. I was walked through unsubscribe portals, and how to retain what I wanted. Given you pay monthly for their services, you shouldn’t get promotional emails everyday. Phepie was awesome, after the help they wished my dog and I a ‘pawesome’ night! so sweet.

We loved how much we learned about our little 15 lb dog’s activity, but we weren’t sure it would actually help find our zippy Houdini. We hoped it would, but we figured we would take a chance and get Fitbark. We were happy it was small enough to not be an issue on her collar at all. She’s gotten away from us two times since we purchased it about a year ago, and it absolutely worked!!! Not only that, but our 8 month old Samoyed puppy has chewed at that thing since we got him 3 months ago (while they wrestle). And IT STILL WORKS. We just bought one for our Sammy.

After it working for months (Sept 2022 to May2023) tech service blamed our phone for it not working. We went through all their options to update it, firmware etc and they just said it must be our iphones (SE brand new for one and the other is 2 years old). Battery runs out after about 8 hours. Asked them to send a replacement fitbark and they won't try that to see if that is the issue. Blaming phone is easier. The kicker is we have a 3 year plan we paid for and cannot use this the remaining 2.5 years. Total rip off, shame on you fitback. Your shortsighted on customer service, cheaping out on a $10 piece of equipment. Telling everyone at every dog park (we wear it so people ask) and every walk we go on not to buy it. Will review on trust pilot and everywhere else so no one else gets burned.

The actual decide is nice. Like the tracking for activity and sleep and works well. Also good battery The app needs a lot of work. Functionality and usability is really subpar. Just not sufficient at all. Please work on the app.
