Poor customer service
The idea of being able to open and close vents in rooms that have outlier temperatures is good. However, Flair’s implementation needs some serious work. I have my smart vents connected to Ecobee smart sensors. It takes the Flair system over 5 minutes every time to update its temperature after the Ecobee updates temperature (which itself is only done once every 5 minutes or so). Basically if you need Flair to be responsive to temperature changes, you’ll be frustrated.
HVAC is hard. There’s a lot going on in these multi-zone systems, and being clear and reliable isn’t always easy. Flair does it as well as anyone, even when they’re adding features and complexity to what would otherwise be simple setups. 10/10, just focus on learning what it all means before you start changing settings
After spending tens of thousands of dollars on mini splits for my house, I’m left with a system that almost never works. Icing on the cake: customer support is nonexistent. Use the app to send a message, and it goes right into the memory hole, with never a response. it’s winter. It’s cold. My system is not working in half of the rooms, as usual. I hope you all read this before buying.
The products and the app have been tremendous! Smart vents have made all the difference in my house. The only improvements I would suggest: make the pucks so that they can be read by ecobee as sensors. I now wish I would have used ecobee smart sensors in each room rather than pucks so that my ecobee could use those sensor temps for an avg house temp, but it can’t read the pucks so I only get to use my ecobee and 1 smart sensor I have for hvac on/off temp reading. But this system overall has been a HUGE improvement for our always-inconsistent house temp. Definitely recommend!
I love the layout and info the app provides and the web version works great too! The only drawback is the slow response signal sent for vent opening/closing but not a deal breaker.
One of the best investments I've ever made. Highly recommend!
Feels like a sluggish webapp, and for some reason it does not have dark mode. So good luck opening this up in the evening
Had the Puck setup; but the app lost connection “to the API,” so it’s redoing everything while the mini split is super cooling my bedroom. After much frustration (and further refrigeration of my bedroom), I got it set up. Nothing is intuitive about this. The UI is just weird. Setting times for the schedule is just so bizarre. There’s no way to set a “heat to” temp and a “cool to” temp, you have to trust the app to switch at whatever temps it chooses or do so manually. It really makes me miss my central HVAC with the Honeywell smart thermostat.
Please add a scheduled manual mode. Current software makes the hardware useless.
