This developer makes the best Fractal Flame apps for both Mobile and Windows. The windows version allows animation, I’m still hoping to see that sometime in the mobile version. Andreas, come on, show us some love! I would be more than happy to pay five dollars for a pro version of the app that allows animation. And you really should get paid for the work you’re doing.

was looking for something like apophysis on ipad. this is an amazingly effective app. even people who are not very creative can easily produce stunning original art for all kinds of digital uses. thanks!

Great app, much like jwildfire which is extremely deep. I would like to see an animator and or sequencer but for generation purposes it’s really good with a better ui is better than most

I ask for assistance with help, on why my work gets destroyed when I save, render and import images. I know they work as I’ve used the options.

A lot of fun. When’s the animation update coming?

I’m an experienced fractal artist, but I’ve only been able to find one well-developed app for my iPad Pro; I’ve always had to work on my desk computer. (The other good app I’ve found is Frax HD Pro, a very high quality program, but it doesn’t present the user with flame fractals with which to tinker.) Since I love working with the many nuances of flame fractals I was delighted to find Flamelet. The depth and nuance possible is further heightened by the speed and efficiency with which it works on my iPad Pro. The app also presents the user with more than one means of learning to use it: built in automatic help and explanation screens (you can turn these off) which allow intuitive exploration, tutorials, and a manual. All are well done. Congratulations to the creator, Andreas Maschke—and thank you!

I would not pass this app up. Worth its weight in gold and then some. I’d love to see a larger preview window but considering the number crunching that it does - and it’s real time fluidity, I guess a rather small preview window is a small price to pay. If you love flame fractals or fractals in general, this app is for you

All renderings are blurry and look like poop don’t waste your money.

I have played around with fractal art for many years, and this is easily one of the best applications for working with fractals on any platform. There is massive depth to what can be created here, and it’s extremely easy to use. While I am glad to give it a well-deserved 5-star review, there are features that I would like to see added. One thing I would love to see is Apophysis-style scripting. This would allow for animation of fractals over time. I would also like to see more control over gradients. I really can’t recommend this highly enough. The output is amazing. If you want to explore fractals, you owe it to yourself to buy Flamelet. Side note - to explore more traditional Mandelbrot and Julia set fractals, Frax is also amazing.
