Flare - For Groups

Flare is great, I love using it for my sorority!

It would be nice to be able to add a photo and comment on it, as well, at the same time, instead if adding the photo, hit enter, then having to add the comments on a separate line.

I love this app! I really like that everything we would need is in one app. I like the seperate groupchat features and that admin can have their own groupchat where they are the only ones that can post and everyone can still see it!

My sorority recently switched to Flare and I think it is the ultimate sorority communication app— love how it simplifies our interactions with intuitive messaging and group chats that cater to our diverse interests. I enjoy sharing and preserving our favorite moments through its photo album feature (not having to use photo circle with its ads, and scheduling personal events for my close circle of sisters. Plus, the built-in screenshot protection ensures our privacy is always respected. Flare enhances our sisterhood experience by keeping us connected and organized, making it indispensable for our sorority.

Safe to say, I am obsessed. It’s not every often that Greek life is able to personalize their communication platforms, but I think since our chapter has switched over to Flare, the sisters would love to be able to customize their app. Thanks for making such a great, customizable app!

Our chapter loves flare!! Especially the fact that it is free. It is so helpful to have everything in one place and we can’t wait to get our entire chapter transitioned onto it!!

I was considering using this a the primary communication platform for an organization I lead. While all the features are wonderful and exactly what I was looking for, I could not get behind the no web access. As an officer in an organization there are a lot of things to do behind the scenes where being able to access the platform on a computer in necessary. The inability to do this with flare is ultimately what made me decide not to use the app. Additionally I think that a better method for organizing files would be helpful. Rather than there just being a list of them it would be nice if they could be organized into categories.

We switched to flare this past semester and it has been amazing! Such a great way to have everything our members need in an accessible easy downloadable app!

1. You’ve got to add link previews. Sharing a link is a nightmare on this app with the giant wall of blue link text. 2. Almost every messaging app on the planet allows you to share a photo and text with it in the same message. It’s maddening to have to share a photo and then immediately send the message right after it. 3. Sort of related to the above in the sense that the UI should give a second step review when attaching media to a message, it’s way too easy to accidentally tap on a GIF in the library and send it to the group. The natural action is to tap on a gif to see it bigger and preview before sending so it induces panic when you accidentally send a gif to the group you only meant to preview. 4. One directional media share. You can’t share images starting from your photo library and have to start in the app, which feels clunky. 5. Double likes a photo instead of zooming in. Really weird interaction ad there are two ways to like something. I would just cut this feature as the emoji like is plenty. I’d much rather be able to double tap zoom than this weird like mechanism.

It’s so helpful, organized, and easy to use! it’s so much better than past paper I’ve used!!!
