Can’t even try before buying

I downloaded the app even though I knew there will be purchase or subscription. But upon opening the app, I can’t even allowed to write a single letter? How am I supposed to know if this app is worth it or if I’m comfortable using this app when I can’t even try it? I know you offered the trial package but then what? Everyone knows we have to buy it because we already wrote down notes in it. Such a negative first impression for this app, but please everyone hates apps that needs free trial before subscribing it :|

Expensive and sparing updates

I’ve been an annual subscriber. I initially love the design and used it as the developer suggested: a drawing, sketching and writing app. Yes they excelled in design the best looking writing app, but there are very little feature updates or exciting new ways to use the app throughout the annual subscription. The last year, there were time the updates spans from 2-3months and that does not justify the cost for a repeating subscription. If support and updates have a longer wait time, i would prefer this to be a one time payment app rather than a substitute.

For the exorbitant price tag, it only allows drawing. I don’t see any tools like image insertion or photo cropping. And there is a sore need of a text tool. I’m going back to Paper.
