In my life - I have finally found a station I enjoy every single day. It is like hearing from dearest friends from long ago and then next meeting a brand new person singing lyrics that I immediately wish to learn and hear again, or share with my community. Thanks for bringing so much joyful variety to the airwaves with Folk Music Notebook!
New to the station. I got the app to listen to Dan Mahr’s Good Road and have listened to many other programs.
Music from all the greats of every decade of folk music. Thoughtfully chosen by top folk DJs.
Folk Music Notebook is ….. simply …. The Best! 👍
The superior accomplishment of Ron Olesko cannot be overlooked. Kudos to you
Great way to access really well-curated Folk and Americana music new and old, especially Joltin Joe’s show The Train Wreck!
Easy to use app for iphone. The shows are excellent. Highly recommended
‘Folk Talk’ was great! For me, it was an extension of being at the Hobo Convention last month. The program had music, interviews, stories and history of Hobo culture! I was proud to have my music included! ...and, Rik Palieri’s program led me to the app for ‘Folk Music Notebook’! It was in the nick of time as I had grown weary of my same old playlist. So...on Monday & Tuesday I listened into Folk Music Notebook on the App during my drive from Massachusetts to Florida. Great music, many of my friends. It put my mind squarely in Folk Music as I rehearse for a few shows in the sun.
No need to wait for that public radio show that plays “our music”. Here it is 24/7. I’ve heard so may artists who are new to me. Love it.
